Q:What is the minimum operating temperature for this pipe, as in could it be used in environments as cold as -10 degrees celsius or -20 Celcius?
    by|Oct 26, 2022
    1 Answer
    Answer This Question

A:  Hi, Mack - We don't test cold temperatures of our HDPE pipe; however, internet searches on the subject indicate that it can withstand temperatures as low as -40 to -70 degrees Celsius in a non-pressurized application. In comparison, PVC piping’s temperature rating is 5°F (-15°C) and becomes brittle in freezing temperatures.

The hamlet's Blacksmith became afflicted with Soul-Jaundice after being accosted by a pack of mire-ghouls. Unable to wrought iron, I was bereft of shaft for my flanged mace. Desperate for materials, I scavenged an alchemical trove and found the PVC 24" pipe. Whilst not as sturdy as traditional Fel-Steel it was a suitable replacement. I tempered the PVC as best as could and affixed the head of the flanged mace. Wish me luck as I plunge into the caverns of the Necrosphinex to claim its bounty!

The Product was great and durable, we used it replace some sprinkler lines. My only request is that there be a 10ft option available, as I didn’t need a 50ft roll, but I did need more than the 2ft option. They may have it, just not at my store.

Bought this item for a repair on the drip system in my yard. Does not work for that application. Material is too solid and would not seal on repair coupling.
