Repair Fractured Rigid Plastic Parts to Discontinued Vacuum Cleaner
I needed to repair a discontinued rigid clear plastic part from a 15 year-old popular brand upright vacuum cleaner. This fractured part could not be replaced due to discontinued model, yet was key to connecting the main vacuum line to the discharge bag. The JB Weld offers a relatively quick set time permitting hand-held positioning of each of the fragmented parts. Together with a relatively quick cure time, it permitted a "deliberate" durable repair. Then after curing, I was able to carefully sculpt (carve & sanding) the repaired part to match the original placement, and then to reattach to the upright cleaner. The vacuum works better than new, because I was able to more carefully seal the vacuum path.

Great Product to Keep on Hand
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The J-B KwikWeld is always a great product to have on hand. I keep one in my garage for the house and one in our camper for the Spring/Summer camping season. This past summer we had a few leaky pipes while we were out camping. Our family was our pretty far and it was not easy to go to the store for a replacement. I needed a quick, strong fix until I could get home and figure out the bigger problem. This exact reason is why I have this in our camper. I took equal parts from each tube and placed it over the few spots I knew it was needed. It tried extremely fast but I left it alone for 6 hours so I knew it was completely cured. The family had another few days out and the leaks were gone. I have always been very pleased with the outcome of this product. This is a quick, convenient product that works well. It is user friendly and will be something we have on hand for a long time.

            It works!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love how EASY this product is to use. I had broken the frame on my favorite sunglasses. This product saved them! I cleaned the area of the frame with rubbing alcohol, to remove any oil or dirt. I squeezed a drop of each tube onto a piece of parchment paper and mixed thoroughly with a popsicle stick. You want to mix til the black paste and white paste form a smokey Grey. I applied just a small amount of mixture to the broken section of the frame. It only took a few minutes to set. I waited 3 hours to pop back in the lense, to ensure the weld kept secure. It did!! I only wish I still had my EXPENSIVE sunglasses that broke. This would have fixed them no problem! Looking forward to trying out on a metal table frame next.

The product by JB Weld, has worked well on a number of locations on a recent automotive project I was on. It was used to bond sheet metal in the engine compartment, repair A/C duct in the dash board and bond electrical wiring in places that hardware, hose clamps and zip ties would not satisfy this custom mechanic. Awesome product with incredible strength and power for bonding metals, plastic from hands on experience.

              Rock Hard
I have used this for various applications over many years. So hard and strong bond it will likely out last me. Getting ready to use it to secure small nuts and bolts between the fins of the heads of my Harley. These will be used to afix a Name plate to each front cylinder. The temp range should be 275-325. This seems to be the upper temp range, but I have confidence it will hold or I would not use it on such a treasured possesion. Will return and show photos of this project when finished and tested. I will enclose a pic of the before now

I made my grandchildren a gnome house out of a stump. We cut indentations In the wood with an axis and put the gnomes all over and around. We glued them with JB Weld and they are holding great. I have been using JB Weld for years for so many things that need repaired. It's my go to, I always keep some at home.

Our 22 year old washer has a metal basket and there was some corrosion with a thick layer of calcium deposit above it. As I was clearing some of the calcium, a pinhole leak occurred. The machine is awesome so we didn't want to get another one. They don't make the basket anymore so I wanted to salvage it. I thought about JB Weld and it worked! I just mixed the two on a piece of cardboard and used a Popsicle stick and pasted it over the holes. It's been over a year and no leaks!

when mixed together it is the best cold weld ever.
I had a cut off 3/4"x 6" water pipe no threads comming from a wall. Pipe could not be threaded. I was told by a old plummer guy who said get a 1"x3/4" cpvc reducer then reduce the 3/4" to 1/2" for water line and get some sand paper. Now he said get some JB Quik and 1 rubber glove. He said clean and sand the pipe the best I can then mix the JB Quik working fast with glove on coat both pipe and reducer with JB Quik then with a turning motion slip reducer on pipe hold in place using gloved hand to smove around edge of reducer. Give it five minutes and you can run cpvc from that point on. Ohhh by the way that was almost 3 years ago.
