Am I supposed to mix the gray and the black material? The instructions weren't specific. I ask this because the gray portion is not pliable, it is dry and crumbly and will not mix well with the black material.

what I do is cut a bit off the roll like a bread slice and then, with a latex glove on I kneed it together until it's all mixed you can't see two colors in the blob, then stick it on what I'm trying to fix

I have a sunroom with some holes in the metal strip on the outside strip next to the gutter. What do you recommend for sealing the few holes.

The strip has already been primed and one coat of paint applied to it. My handyman suggested using JB Weld Epoxy Putty on the holes, more like indentations. Which of the types should i use? Thanks, Roy
Asked by: Roy
dunno, should work, I've fixed holes similar to what you describe, fixed? maybe filled is more accurate, but it worked for me

My air conditioner is leaking water from the pan where it has deteriorated. When I called in someone they used a product called liquid metal. Is this a similar product I can use to stop the leak in the metal pan?

I patched up a pool heater for several months, so it might work at least for a while. Maybe patch hole with this and then put some silicone over the repair to keep water off of it?

Our HOA community has cast aluminum mailbox posts consisting of a vertical post in the ground and a horizontal decorative support upon which the actual mailbox is connected. The point at which the the horizontal support and the vertical post connects seems to be somewhat fragile and cracks if stressed. By stressed I mean if it is hit with a fair amount of force such as a car sideswiping it, (it happens), or a groundskeeper accidentally bending it etc. The best way to replace and restore the support to the post is with this SteelStik. It was suggested to me by a Home Depot associate. I used it per the directions and it did a terrific job. My repair work actually caught the attention of several of my neighbors with similar concerns and they also bought some. I have helped a couple of neighbors fix their mailboxes resulting in some gifts of homemade chicken soup! So there you have it--a fixed mailbox and a warm bowl of chicken soup. How can you go wrong? All kidding aside, this stuff really works and it's a whole lot cheaper than a new mailbox!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everyone Should Have This in Their Toolkit I only bought one of these, unsure of how well it would work. I can weld and solder, but sometimes it’s just not practical. I was able to fix my baseboards, a broken piece of my interior door panel, and several other small projects so far. It’s easy to use, malleable enough to get a nice, smooth finish, but it does set quickly—which is also a good thing. Best of all, it holds just as well as a good weld

It said it would set in 60 minutes but it never hardened even after several days. My bird who only weighs a few pounds stepped on it after a few days and it broke right off. What a waste of money.

Also be aware that the consistency is like Playdoh, so it would be difficult to squeeze into cracks. My particular application may have been better served with the original JBWeld that could flow into cracks.

When I seen the email for product review I went and tested the area I used it on (3 days ago) and is cracked. I may try again on scrap materials but I would not recommend this product.
