I used qty(4) of these rolls to patch a hairline crack in an 3" OD ABS sewer line. I kneaded each of the rolls thoroughly (or so I thought & colors completely mixed). More than 24 hrs later some of it is still a little soft. Will it ever harden?

This is a putty stick. Cut off the amount needed and knead to a uniform color. Apply to a dry surface. There is no powder in this mix

If this is a steel tub look to the Original 8265. It can be sanded or ground if necessary for the drain plug and painted too

                  Works for proper use
From my experience and from what I gather reading other reviews, this product works well sealing areas that have a leak with water that is not under much pressure (ie drains, containers) but not so well with pressurized systems like the pvc line of a sprinkler system. I used it on a kitchen sink ABS drain and it worked very nicely

Hello everyone, I recently had the opportunity to use Water Weld, and I must say, this product works amazingly and is incredibly easy to use. Here’s my experience: I accidentally drilled two holes in my drain line, which I only realized when water started showing up on the wall. Upon breaking the wall, I discovered the source of the leak. I had used a stud finder with a pipe detection feature, but it amusingly misidentified the pipe as a stud. Desperate to fix the leak, I purchased Water Weld. I followed the instructions, applied it to the affected area, and let it sit for 4 hours. After this period, I tested the repair, and to my delight, the leak was completely gone. Water Weld saved me from what could have been a major plumbing disaster. It’s a reliable product that delivers on its promises. I highly recommend it to anyone in need of a quick and effective solution for pipe repairs. If you have any specific edits or additional points you’d like to include, feel free to let me know!

                    Failed on pvc sprinkler pipe
Didn’t work to patch cracked pvc sprinkler pipe. Waited 24 hours to cure, still couldn’t handle the pressure. Plan on returning.

                      Disappointed
After reading reviews decided to use it to seal a drip in my sprinkler system pvc pipe. Followed direction and applied to pipe area to be sealed. Allowed to cure for 3 hours then reactivated pressure in the line and tested the line with pressure. When first valve opened the pvc line shook a little and a chunk of the water weld fell off and the drip reappeared. Really disappointed after such good reviews.

                        Did not work at all
I cleaned my (dry) copper pipes (water shut off), I sanded with 40 grade, I cleaned with Lysol wipes just to make sure, like the package says. I cut a good size piece and worked and worked and worked to insure well mixed. I applied to pipe, nice and thick. I waited at least 18 hours before turning water back on. Held for perhaps 5 mins before a pinhole developed in the middle and it started spewing out a stream of water. The pic shows the pipes that I applied the putty to.

                          Did not hold water pressure
used it to try to fix a leak on a pvc pipe, followed instructions but the water pressure went right through the putty

                            Water Weld to the rescue...again
Due to cheap a PVC fitting that developed a crack, Water Weld saves the day. Also used it on a PVC thread leak and it worked there as well. Not my first JB Weld experience but first time with Water Weld. This is your "oh poo" fix it solution.

                              Perhaps a bad batch?
I used this to try to repair a pinhole in a copper pipe. I prepped, cut a small amount, mixed until uniform color and applied. The material never fully hardened. I was able to cut it off with a knife. To test, I mixed a small batch, and just put it on a piece of paper. After an hour it was still rubbery. Maybe it was a bad batch. Very strange. Unfortunately I cannot recommend it for use in plumbing. In the photo, notice the score marks made with just my fingernail after an hour hardening.

                                Headphone Repair miracle!
I love this waterweld epoxy putty! I have two expensive pairs of headphones which broke like a cheap pair. One pair are Sony which used very cheap plastic which after about a year nearly shattered, and the other pair used thin aluminum for the frame. I thought for sure I was going to throw away my headphones, but I seen this putty in the store and tried it. Sure enough I was able to apply the putty around the break and wow it formed a rock hard repair that has lasted longer than the original materials! Thank you so much JB weld!
