About This Product

J-B Weld KwikWood is a hand-mixable epoxy putty, formulated to repair and rebuild wood. After mixing, it cures to the same density as wood and becomes an integral part of the repair. For use on exterior or interior applications, it contains no solvents, will not rot, shrink, crack or pull away. KwikWood has a 15-25 minute work life. After 60 minutes, it can be machined, drilled, tapped, sanded, filed and painted. Stronger than wood, KwikWood dries to a light tan color.

My puppy chewed off the corner of my bedroom window sill. I used KwikWood to repair. Easy to mold and attach to sill. Dried hard and painted beautifully.

          Efficient and quick fix!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Kiwkwood epoxy putty is pretty impressive! We have a toddler and high energy puppy that love to leave dings in furniture and molding. You can use this stick on almost any surface! It’s super easy to use. The stick sets in about 30 minutes and you can paint over it after roughly an hour! Looks brand new! Overall, we would highly recommend this efficient quick fix putty for any household!

            Never fully cures
Waited 4 days for this to cure and it never did. When I re drilled my new holes, the paste came out right along with the drill bit. So off to try something else. Don’t waste your money.

versatile but success depends on application
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] JB Weld's KwikWood is versatile and easy to handle. You simply rip open the package, cut off an appropriate amount from the tube and mash together the two different reactants until they form a single color. You have several minutes to use before the putty begins to harden. The putty is so viscous that it's difficult to handle with a glove and get it smeared over a rough surface (vs. filling a hole). Dries hard and is sandable and paintable, but the grip on a rough surface could be improved.

                A great putty!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this putty for a picture frame that was kind of falling apart. I used wood glue to put it back together and this putty was the perfect color to finish off the job! It worked really easily after I mixed it I just applied it to the frame and voila! I need to clean it a bit, but it looks great with the antique look of it!

Like regular JB Weld but for wood
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For those familiar with regular metal-bonding JB Weld the Kwikwood works the same way. Pinch off a bit and massage it between your fingers then apply to the surface. Tested with gaps between pieces of MDF and Kwikwood bonded and painted as well as traditional wood filler. Most likely very useful for busted corners or large gouges as the moldability of the product will aid in creating a restored shape. Attached pictures show filling the gap between two pieces of MDF that was then sanded, primed and painted

                    Works great!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Such a great product that everyone should keep on hand. Works great for dents, scrapes, notches in all wood furniture. It is very easy to use, and the results are great. Let's face it, with pets, kids, and life there are a lot of dings to tend to. Also great when restoring or refinishing pieces.

                      Impressive
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This J-B Weld KwikWood epoxy putty is high quality and pretty impressive. It has so many uses, and is extremely easy to use as well. My husband is a pro (literally), so I figured he would need these product more than I would. He was actually doing some projects in our home, so he was able to show me just how well this works. He used this to fill nail holes on new custom trim he had put throughout the house. It only took a small amount of putty to cutoff and mixup. Once mixed, it sets within 15-25min. He filled each hole. He loved how clean and quick he could work with this product. Even though this cures to a light tan color, it can be painted in 1 hour (and sanded). It’s also so strong that it can be drilled! A little goes a long way too.

Works well to fill holes in wood
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] KWIKWOOD Epoxy putty worked well for me. I had a wooden dining table leg to had stripped out screw holes due to being improperly moved. Working in some Kwikwood epoxy putty allowed me to refill the holes, re-drill them, and reattach the legs. It is a strong product with good hold.

Easy to use and good results
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to repair a door handle from a sliding door. The screws of the handle broke out and I had to close the wholes. It is pretty easy to use and I am happy with the results. The color is a bit brighter than expected and it took a bit more than two hours to harden.
