Q:There is Ca prop 65 warning on this Siberian Glossy tile. Should we be concerned about emission of VOCs and other chemical residues evaporating, once this glass tile is installed and grouted on the shower wall? Is the finished product safe?

Q:How do people that use this tile for their shower walls drill the glass doors into it without it shattering? My contractor said that he is unable to put my shower doors on because the tile could shatter. Any tips or tricks would be super helpful.

lovely glass tile
I used this tile for our backsplash, it was a nice way to add color but keep the kitchen neutral at the same time. this was my first time job, and overall very successful. hardest areas were where I needed u cuts around window sills I could never quite get them on glass. but I was able to cut very thin slivers when needed. I used a Mapei glass mosaic tile mortar, and used a premixed Mapei acrylic l grout Flexcolor. overall it took longer than I expected but I'm super happy with the results.

The Siberian Gloss Mosaic Tile in Green was easy to use and cut. It is about 1/4" thick and the slide-type tile cutter worked great on cuts larger than 3/4". I used a stone bar for the sharp edges. I used a wet saw with a diamond blade for the small 1/4" cuts and it works great with a nice edge. The wet saw worked great to cut 45 degree angles for around the outlets. The color throughout 26 squares of tile was a consistent light minty green. The spacing of the tile on the one foot mesh pieces was mostly consistent. I used 1/16" spacers when necessary. A couple of the glass tiles had the mesh glue on them but goof off took them right off and didn't harm the glass. Individual pieces of glass can be taken off the mesh for cutting. This tile looks great as a backsplash with white grout and my white cabinets. Gives an elegant beach house feel. An excellent choice, and a great price!
