A: The sprinkler comes set to throw the furthest distance. In order to decrease the distance, you take your K-Key that is provided, or small flat blade screwdriver, and turn the nozzle screw clockwise. The screw does not have a stop, so be sure not to screw down too far, or the nozzle will come out when the water is turned on.
A: The seal on our rotors is not replaceable and should last the life of the head under normal conditions. If you have a K2 RCW rotor that is still under its 5-year warranty, then let us know your shipping address and we will send a replacement head.
A: All gear drive rotor heads including the K2 will wear prematurely if a large amount of grit or sand is present in the water. A 60 mesh / 150 Micron spin down filter installed after the pump is recommended for systems with sandy water.
A: The K2 RCW (168261), with the purple cap is typically used for reclaimed water. It has a glass nylon filled cap for added durability for wastewater systems, and a 3 GPM low angle nozzle for less overspray. This product can also be used on a regular irrigation system.
