Rite-Temp 1/2 in. Pressure-Balancing Valve with Screwdriver Stops

A:  I used threaded Shark-Bite connectors. Threaded them onto the threads provided and pushed in my PEX tube. Worked great! If not using Shark-Bite you will have to use solder connections or compression connectors.

A:  You will need to transition from the valve to existing plumbing, either by soldering (sweating) and NTP adapter, or using shark bite type of fittings, chances are is your old valve has fittings that are sweated, and you will have to them remove before you can take old valve off.

A:  I left the original brass housing installed and just removed the guts of the old valve and put the new internals in. Worked like a charm! Didn't have to tear anything out of the wall or re-solder. Took all of about 30 minutes to do. My old valve wasn't mixing the hot and cold properly...so I replaced the internals and it works like new.

A:  Dont know. I thought all Kohler shower valves are standard and should fit any Kohler shower handle.
