Trying to select the best valves for my Kohler shower system. It will be shower head and hand held with temperature balancing. I was told the K2975-KS-NA was best, but K-8304-KS-NA looks excellent to me for a fraction of the cost. It gives ease of instillation and future style changes. Any suggestions?
Asked by: Mitch
I think either one will work for you. If the price is your issue go with the one you want. They are similar in function and both offer ease of installation.

Our shower valve K-8304-KS was just installed and is not working correctly. When we turn the handle counter clockwise the water does not shut off at the "6 o'clock" position. We have to continue turning the handle slowly around until the water finally shuts off. Sometimes 2 or 3 revolutions. The valve does not seem to have a set on/off point. What's wrong?
Asked by: Connie
It sounds like the valve stops has worked slid off the body and just free turning. If you pull off the handle and sleeve you should see a plastic disc that will tell your valve where the shut offs are. I would turn off the water to the house just in case.

Can we remove the aspirator from the cartridge. My understanding is that when we get the Kohler shower head rated at 2.5gpm, that it has a restrictor that will control the flow.
Asked by: Kim
Hi Kim, this is Sarah with Kohler Co. I'm glad to answer your question. There is not a removable part in the cartridge that restricts the flow. Removing any piece from within the cartridge or showerhead would void the warranty. For additional assistance, please call our Customer Service team at 1-800-456-4537 (M-F; 8am-5pm CST). Thank you for choosing KOHLER.

I have a Kohler Artifacts (swing) with a diverter button. Presently, my water starts hot and then fades away and results in a temperate water temperature even when the handle is all the way to "Hot." If I need to replace any internal components, what kit should I order? Thanks, Robert P. Forfar
Asked by: Bob
I may be way off mark with this, but have you checked hot water flow from another faucet, perhaps a non-mixed hot water faucet? If your water heater is failing you might get similar symptoms as the water in the tank is not heated through. Hot water rises in the tank and produces the initial hot surge. I would expect this especially in a dual-element electric heater where the bottom element has failed.
