I needed 2 dowels for my project. These worked perfectly. I made these "balls in a cage" as gifts for a golf tournament that my local Lions Club was running. I could make 6 from each 3 foot piece. They were easy to make and enjoyed by the winners of this prize.

Good not great. If you can pick up in person rather than have shipped. Mine were both straight and definitely hardwood but one had a knothole that had clearly been hollowed and puttied. Also odd areas where stain didn't take evenly. Good enough for my intended use but better to pick them out yourself if you can. Also they're somewhat smooth but could have bwrn sanded a bit more. (still probably better than the |HD brand with many reviews about warped lengths. Mine were well seasoned and absolutely straight.)

Home Depot has invited me to rate and review my recent purchase of one Kelleher square dowel. So, I'm here for it.
This was such a great dowel! It did EXACTLY what we needed it to do. It was the right size and even took the (oak-colored) stain very nicely with no arguments or fuss. It was cut into legs and continues to hold the new shelf perfectly, too.
