Q:I cannot see any black markings on the cooktop to know what temp etc. Nothing at all close tot he photo I ordered to from. Please advise as to why there are not black numbers next to the knobs - ASAP please!! I want the cooktop I ordered -not this one!!

A: Hello John, Have you tried disconnecting power to the unit for at least one full minute, from either the circuit breaker in the home or unplugging the unit? This would be to reset the control panel.

Missing parts critical to operating

Ordered this plus the telescoping downdraft to replace an old one. The under cabinet base was an inch plus larger, which required a granite person out to shave the cutout opening. The dials are poorly marked and hard to see. The factory box only contained 3 of the 5 burner covers. I called kitchenaid to order replacements. In the meantime, I can not use it. The installation for both downdraft and this took several hours and cost over $1k (including granite shave) from a certified plumber. Should have sprung for the better brand and included install.

poor quality

i bought this cooktop last month and burners base coating start peeling after once washed in dishwasher and are they don't want to cover on warranty.

Poor design

This replaced a 20 year old kitchen aid stove top. But the space allowed for cooking is shallow. If I put a larger pan on either of The side burners, there is no room to put another pan on the buner on the same side
