About This Product

Klein Tools' Slim-Tip Insulated Screwdrivers have slim profile tips that allow for greater access into terminal blocks, slim-style breakers, or other tight spaces near energized sources. A bright orange coating of insulation protects from electrical shock, is flame and impact resistant, and sits flush with the tip helping to reduce insulation chipping and cracking. Klein insulated tools exceed the ASTM F1505 standards for insulated tools, and are clearly marked with the official 1000-Volt rating symbol. A must-have for any electrician's tool bag, these screwdrivers are available in 4-Inch round shank #2 Phillips as well as 6-Inch round shank in a 3/16-Inch Cabinet tip and #2 Square tip.

The Klein 1/4” shank slim tip insulated screwdriver is approx 9” overall length with a solid rubber grip handle. This screwdriver is very high professional quality, just what you would expect from a Klein tool. I have used this screwdriver to perform a wide variety of projects from a simple tightening a loose screw to working to connect wiring to a circuit breaker in an electrical box. I have owned several other Klein tools for over 25 years and they are still in good shape.

After many many years of 'toolin' around and countless number of shocks and welded regular screwdrivers, finally have a top of the line insulated screwdriver from Klein Tools! Why I waited is beyond me! This thing is great! I do diy change outs around the house with outlets and switches quite often and this screwdriver gives me a comfort level I've never had before! Works perfectly!

This is an extremely well built electrically protected screw driver. It is made in the USA, and is protected from electrical current up to 1000 volts. Klein makes some of the best electrical tools on the market today. This screw driver is a little over 10- inches long, has a very comfortable hand grip and feels very good in your hand. If you're looking for a great electrically protected screw driver for electrical work, this would be a great addition to any tool box.

This tool feels great in your hand. Perfect size to get a good grip, not too large or small. Also nice grippy rubber handle does not slip. This tool is made in the USA, and has a great feature on the top of the handle showing it is the regular (flat) screwdriver when stored in a tool belt. When working with electricity you need to inspect the tool before each use, also ensure the tool is dry. This may be my favorite go-to every day screw driver now.

Klein ¼” Cabinet 4” Insulated Screwdriver. There is something very satisfying about using a real quality “Made in USA” tool. As someone that is retired from the electric utility industry, I am familiar with Klein Tools, they are an industry standard. Fit and finish is second to none. This insulated screwdriver feels strong and robust in the hand but one needs to remember that the insulating properties can deteriorate if not properly cared for. They should be protected from harsh chemicals and damage to insulating materials. The slim tip design on this screwdriver is very compact. The tip will fit well into terminal blocks where the screw head may be below the top surface of the block. The Home Depot website lists the price of this tool at $12.90 so it is not an inexpensive tool. It is designed for use where there is an electrical hazard present. If you need this added safety feature then the Klein line of insulated tools is an excellent choice.

Klein tools has always made quality and innovated tools geared towards the electricians. Their 692-4-INS insulated slim tip flat blade screwdriver is just another example. It has a very comfortable cushion grip handle and an insulated shank which is good for 1000 volts. It is great to use on potentially live circuits as well as circuits known to be live.

if you need 1000v insulated screwdrivers these are the ones to get. the slim tip allows you to get into spaces that normal insulated screwdrivers would simply be unable to do. great to have in the tool belt along with the same style Phillips head. the rubber is nice and grippy and doesn't feel at all like the typical cheap overmolding. and remember buying made in the USA products like this is best for everyone.

Reliable and safe screwdriver 692-4
I got my Klein straight slot insulated screwdriver 692-4 in a set with it's sister 693-4 phillips, I've used the straight slot a few time on live control circuitry in a controls cabinet that was powered up, 24 VDC - 480 VAC, 1 feature that I appreciate about the screwdriver is how the insulator on the shank of the screwdriver is molded evenly down to the tip, there's no bump or ridge at the tip, so you can slide the screwdriver over something and not have to worry about an obstacle down there, and when your in a tight, cramped space, like a controls cabinet, obstacles suck! Another feature I like is the cushion grip, anything that makes my job more comfortable, you better believe I will appreciate, and the cushion grip on this screwdriver does that, makes it easier to operate the screwdriver, another thing is, Klein's got it down when they mold or grind, or whatever they do when they make the tips of these screwdrivers cause they sure do bite the screw, I hardly don't get any round-offs any more if I'm using a Klein screwdriver, same for the phillips and square tipped screwdrivers. There are a few other brands that got the tip manufacturing down, too, but I can't mention them, Klein is the # 1 of all of them. I know if I buy a Klein screwdriver for a specific sized/shape screw application, it's gonna fit and bite well! Sure it might cost a little more, but when push comes to shove and I'm cranking screws out left and right, I'll be happy I spent the extra money! Well that's my spill on the Klein 692-4, hope it helps someone out, remember, be safe in all you do!!
