Great "Fishing" tool (pun intended)
I ordered and received the Klein Tools 50 ft Steel fish tape several months ago. We have a couple of project boats that we are currently working on and this tool was just the trick for fishing multiple cables and wiring through the gunnels and also below deck. The tool was very versatile and the steel fish tape had just the right stiffness to get through both areas. I know the tape is primarily used in the housing industry, but it was an incredible time saver for us.The reel is very easy to feed and retract. Klein makes great tools that work. Not much more can be said about that. I would recommend this tool to my friends and family without hesitation. I have included a few photos in order that you can see the tape up close.
While you may pay a premium for their tools over some other brands, they just work well and are quality. I have owned this fishing tape for over 12 years, and while I don't need it often, when I do it works great for running wires! No matter how much I bend it the wrong way, it reels back in to the case and maintains it's shape. It still looks like new to me.

Sturdy 50’ Klein Fish Tape
I recently purchased a new Klein 50’ Fish Tape needed for a 42’ electrical pull. I already have the Klein 25’ Fish Tape for small runs and a larger one for the bigger jobs, but someone borrowed it and left it out in the elements for an undetermined length of time for which I received it back all rusted up and funky. Thus I got this new 50’ tape. It’s actually a sturdy 1/8” thick which is thinner than my old one and works just fine for it’s purpose. Klein makes great products.

Steel fish tape is good length, easy to use, with unexpected features
The 50’ (15.2m x 3mm) 1/8” Klein Tools fish tape is half the length of the one I already own, but is so much easier to use that it has earned a place in my toolbox. This tape come s on a 7.5” diameter bright orange plastic reel with a handle/guide that makes it easy to get the spring steel tape off, and back onto, the reel. The tape itself is laser etched with numbers and lines at one foot increments, counting down from 50, so you’ll spend less time wondering if the tape should have gotten to the other side yet…

Great quality!
I bought this over another store brand and I'm really glad I did. I needed it for a particular residential wiring job for a terrace. Now, I use it for every single job that requires any amount of wire pulling. It comes very well lubricated from the "box" and is basically effortless to use.

Difficult to maneuver
I needed to fish a wire 3 feet over through the insulated attic and it was impossible to maneuver where i need it. Will look for something else.

This Klein 25' fish tape is very easy to use. It has markings on the metal tape letting you know the distance the run is and how long to make the wire. The end of the tape does not seem to get hung up on obstacles while setting the run. The 25' length makes this perfect for running wire at home or office and not be too long and heavy or bulky to use. I wish I had a fish tape in other projects that I barely managed to get finished. ThispThis fish tape makes running wire a breeze. The black handle also makes winding the tape back in to the case easy, hold handle and spin the case and you are done.
I have used this fish tape for the last 4 years and have had a lot of success with it. It makes running HDMI cables through the wall a breeze. I normally just wrap a good amount of electrical tape around whatever wires or cords I'm pulling through and then run this tape in behind the wall and out where I need it. It is a fantastic product and it makes the job a lot easier. This product does meet my expectations and I do not have anything to dislike about it. Please hit the thumbs up if this was helpful.

I just got my new 25 foot long Klein Tools Wide Steel Fish Tape. It works great for the short run jobs that have 90 degree bends and turns that just won’t let you hand push your wire through because of it being too pliable. Thus with a steel tape you just feed it on through your pipe, secure your wire to it, then pull it on back through your piping. It makes your job that easy. Over the past 40 years I’ve done electrical work, security system installations and communication systems installs as well. Having a small fish tape on hand for the short runs is a must.
Klein 25 ft Wide steel fish tape works Great and is perfect for home or commercial usages just flexible enough to pull wires in walls, attics etc comes in a nice carrier to help binding I used this to install new wires on my car trailer worked great saved a lot of time and frustration now my friends what to use it on their projects including a boat trailer and installing an underground fence for their dog .Great color so I can find it and not leave on the job site. It has ruler markings that I can use to measure conduit etc. It Works!
