Klein 10” Slip Joint Pliers are a big heavy duty tool plated in nickel chrome. The handle covers are dipped so they stay put. The jaws are two position and are very wide and have a wire cutter and are shaped to get in tight places. They are a normal tool and therefore are not insulated. Very impressive. This is my first 10” and was needed badly. I am very happy with it and will enjoy it until it walks off. Made in America.

The Klein Tools Brand, 10 in. Slip Joint Pliers are similar to 8 in. slip joint pliers with handles that are two inches longer to provide additional clamping force over eight-inch pliers. The jaws of these pliers are precision ground, slack free, yet freely moving. The true test of pliers ability to cut wire, is to cut fine gauge wire cleanly without the wire being pulled between the pliers jaws due to a sloppy joint or a dull cutter, which these pliers do well. Having a fairly strong grip, I have broken the handles of lower quality pliers in the past. As hard as I could grip the longer handles of these Klein pliers, I could not break them with my hands. The handles will flex as an indication of their toughness and resistance to breakage.

Handle length allows for a good grip and the cushioning is comfortable. The wire cutting edge is tight enough for snipping household wiring or a similar diameter wire. The slip joint opens this wide enough to adequately grip around the connection of a garden hose or similar size connector. The jaw serrations get a good grip on the object one is loosening or tightening
Most of the pliers I've owned were 4" to 6" and were often difficult to grip and use.
At 10" this is comfortable and works great!

This is one big set of pliers. The Klein 10” Slip Joint Pliers should handle any challenge. They open very, very wide. The teeth are perfect for gripping objects. The blue handles are comfortable and the length of the pliers provides more than enough leverage for twisting, loosening, and tightening. One of my pictures revealed that the tips of the pliers were slanted such that only the very tip of the pliers closed tightly and made contact. I looked at some other branded but smaller pliers that I own and lo and behold they were similarly shaped. Who knew? Near the pivot point, the Klein designers provided a small but effective cutting point. I was able to easily cut #12 electrical wire. I expected the pliers to cut the wire; I didn’t expect them to do so so easily. These are nice pliers. They are large and capable, but not awkward or overly heavy. They grip, twist, loosen, tighten, and cut well. They fit your hand well. I give these 10” slip joint set of pliers by Klein my highest recommendation.

Klein Tools Slip Joint Pliers- Wire Cutter. This is an excellent pair pliers to have in your tool kit. They have two position jaw for wider range opening and I found I could easily put in 2” pipe and still clamp down with one hand. It has easy range of movement of the pliers in both modes. They are made out of high quality nickel chrome plate with rubberized grip for excellent control and grip. They are larger heavy duty, 10” pliers for all types of work. I would not have believed the wire cutter but easy cut a 12 gauge wire with the pliers. This is a tool of any workman’s kit.
