A:  They asked me fir a review, I wrote it and they changed it for a very nice review that wasn’t mine. I said NO, it didn’t meet my expectations for the price, besides it’s complicated to use.

A:  Hi John I think you are right, I looked at Kreg for 2 1/2 in fine thread and could not find it.

A:  No it is basically a wood screw and they don't come in fine thread.

A:  They do make both, coarse and fine. If it’s not in your local store I’m sure you could order them

            Square heads suck.
Too expensive for such a crap product. If you have hours on end to properly drive the screws in have at it. Took 2-5 mins a piece because the square head stripped a bunch in the process. 0/10 recommend

I bought these to build a patio table. They worked great. The square head provided solid, continuous contact with the driver vs. Phillips head which can sometimes slip.

Highly recommend Kreg pocket screws. They are universal and extremely useful. I am currently using the 2 1/2" pocket screws in multiple wood projects. Recently, I finished constructing some floating shelves for my garage and pocket screws seemed to be the better choice for my joints. These screws are durable and have endured a sufficient strain of weight on my shelves (see photos). My next project will be a 10' floating cube shelf in my garage that requires the Kreg 1 1/4" screws, which I also own and recommend, for the separating walls between each cube.

                Unnecessary & Overpriced
No need to buy screws specifically for pocket holes, most any screw with a bugle or standard head will work better and can be accustomed to the specific project. These screws strip easy and will snap off in any hard wood (think maple or oak) whether you use fine or coarse thread. I use a Construction or deck screw or something stainless for exterior applications. These are overpriced and weak. GRK screws will help you out much better than these, just use a long star bit.
