      Answer This Question

A:  Howdy TK, This would work ok, however the second number of 0 should be at least 6 to get good results. A better type would be 21-7-14 for St. Augustine. Happy fertilizing, Coach Dave

      by|May 3, 2023

A:  This product is not suitable for St.Augustine grass during the Fall to Winter. It's not recommended to use nitrogen after August. It's recommended to use potash, muriate of potash, potassium sulfate and sul-po-mag.

          Best turf fertilizer there is.
There is a big difference in fertilizer and Lesco turf is the best I have ever used. I have Centipede grass and it is very touchy, too much and it will burn in a hurry. Not all type grass will do best with 18 0 18 but it is great for turf grass. They say it is what the pro's use and I believe it.

          Best fertilizer
Lasco fertilizer is superior to other brands I have tried. I've used Lasco for the last 2 years and my lawn never looked better. It greens up quick and stays a nice dark green all summer - neighbors lawn is green but not as dark and healthy as mine. Highly recommend this product.

          The Best fertilizer
I've used lot's of other products over many years and this is hands down the best. The results was a lush green lawn and spots that were dry and brown came back quickly. I would highly recommend this over any other brand.

Winterizing Bald Spots in the Lawn
I used the Lesco sun and shade seeds with this fertilizer late nov 2012 and early december 2012. My grass grew and stayed green until now. It is even prettier green than expect. There is grass in the areas where grass never grew. I love to hear my neighbors tell me how beautiful and green my grass is and how it stay that way throughout the winter. I don't need to reseed this year, just fertilize and keep the soil conditioned because of the red clay and soil erosion problems in the area that I live in. Thanks for Lesco, I don't have to be embarrassed about my yard any more. I'm going to try the weed and feed next because I have not found a product to kill the VA weeds in my yard. Weed b gone doesn't do much for the weeds in my yard. I'm usually outside digging up the weeds to ensure they are gone for as long as possible. I would like for them to be gone for at least 3 months. If it works I will be sure to let my neighbors know about it. Thanks to Lesco!

This product doesn't list enough different spreaders
First time using a Lesco product. The instructions on the bag listed only rotary spreaders. I have too many areas around my yard that I don't want fertilizer on and so prefer to use a drop spreader. The recommended application is 4.1 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft. It took me three 20' x 50' (1,000 sq. ft.) test areas to get the setting on the spreader correct. I hadn't planned on using my time this way. Not sure I would recommend this product unless you own a rotary spreader listed on the back side of the bag. Have yet to see any results as I just applied yesterday.

          lesco fertilizers and seeds
I have been using lesco products for about 3 years now and I find them to be superior relative to all the others out there. It was recommended to me by a contractor who uses the same product and I have not departed from it. Yes, like every fertilizer if not applied correctly might cause some problems, but I think lesco product are very good. I wish my area home depot will continue to stock them. Lately they are not available, and I have to look on line for them. Highly recommended.
