Q:What does it mean if water is coming out the front right bottom corner of air conditioner
      by|Apr 6, 2024
      1 Answer
      Answer This Question

A:  Thank you for your raising your concern regarding LG Air Conditioner. If water is leaking from the front right bottom corner of your LG LGLW6017R air conditioner, it could be due to one of these common issues: •Clogged Condensate Drain Line: Dust, dirt, and debris can block the condensate drain line, preventing proper water drainage. •Damaged or Misaligned Drain Pan: A damaged or misaligned drain pan under the evaporator coils can cause water to overflow and leak out of the unit. •Low Refrigerant Levels: Low refrigerant levels can lead to frozen evaporator coils, resulting in water leaks when the ice melts. •Dirty Air Filter: A dirty air filter can restrict airflow over the evaporator coils, causing them to freeze and leak water as the ice thaws. It works but it does make some unusual noises (I got used to it) and the front panel LEDs are near impossible to see which is a pain given the remote has no LEDs or screen.

This was everything we needed: Name Brand we trust. Needed to cover 220 sq. ft. Needed to fit our window opening of only 21.5" wide!! (We have windows that open by sliding to the side to open) We had to get creative to get it to fit at all as all window air conditioners are designed for windows that open and close going up and down! I had to mount a base at an angle out for drainage for it to properly sit on and then I had to cut a large piece of plywood that covered from the unit to the top of the window which was open totally since it slid sideways and had to have it big enough to cover the other side of the window so it would have somewhere to screw in on all 4 sides. We shut the bedroom doors and turn up the central air conditioner up 6 degrees and have our bedroom only cooling to the 6 degrees lower temperature all night. The savings are going to be great!! It works very well so far and easy to use with the remote. We did not have a thermometer in our room, but coincidently I had just gotten this clock: "CURCONSA Projection Alarm Clock" that shows the temperature! So, I can see that we are keeping our room at the temperature we want it all night!

I’ve had my LG A/C for three days and it works great. I just registered it online. For a small unit, it has a lot of cooling power.

            Gross
Gets moldy, no easy way to clean the foam inside. It was safely put away during winter in dry bag. I had to figure out how to open it to clean but after opening it realized the whole inside gets dirty and there is really no wY to clean the foam without breaking it or reaching all parts. Not a maintenance I want to keep doing. Not safe for my kids’ rooms.

Great air conditioner can't see the screen
This is a great aor conditioner but when I use the remote from anywhere in the room you can not see the screen to see what the settings are or were you want them to be because it is tilted up. If you are buying for the remote access go somewhere else.

                Very loud
Even on the lowest fan setting, when the condenser kicks on, it registers up to 65 db. It’s not a pleasant sounding hum, but a high pitched mechanical noise. You may fall asleep but it will wake you up frequently and you won’t sleep well

                  Specs Lie
I have a window with a 34” opening. The box/manual/Home Depot site say it supports a max opening width of 35”. The curtains come shy an inch on each side. So now I’m faced with a choice of living with it and stuffing foam in the sides OR have to waste time out of my day to go back to the store and return.

I haven't used the unit yet, but have attached pics of my supposedly new unused unit. I also shelled out for the 3yr extended warranty. Fingers crossed.
