Great Product
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this dishwasher a month ago. So far all is good. It has nice features. Ran a few loads already without an issue. It has a sleek design. I paired this with a new LG Fridge.

    Control panel is junk
Replaced control board twice now and got it working again. Only had it for just over 5 years. It seems the steam coming out of the unit kills it. Would not recommend to someone I hate.

Great Dishwasher - Read My Review For Details On Why I Like It And Items To Look At For Yourself In Person
Bought this to replace my domestic brand dishwasher that failed after 13 months and was out of warranty. So far has been a positive experience. It runs extremely quiet. There are no coils on the bottom of this machine, which is something I overlooked when purchasing which some reviews were criticizing saying the machine cannot reach sanitation level heat, but I have not run my own tests yet. The owner’s manual specifies how to run the cycle and set water heater temperatures to supply machine with hot enough water to achieve this though. Not a priority for me but was probably the biggest thing I overlooked when buying. The lack of the heating element though makes it where I can put larger plastic lids and bowls on the bottom shelf without fear of melting them which is a major plus. The first couple times I ran the dishes through I was leaving some food elements on a knife and stuff to see where its limits were. Discovered that the key to clean silverware with lazily rinsed dishes was the dual zone mode which it activated by default now on our machine. Cleans off smeared on peanut butter when silverware loaded into bottom basket. Silverware basket top with slots do not lock into place well when lifting up and can be cumbersome to get unlocked from down position but are easy to remove. I leave the top off the back half off the basket permanently to use for bulky items and it has worked well so far. The handle in the middle is a bit obtrusive as well if you need to load more than will fit in the left half of the basket, but I rarely have to use the ones in the middle. I can see where the handle is removable, but I leave it on for convenience to grab and lift outweighs my need for more silverware slots. I am able to fit slightly larger items with more pronounced curves on the top basket than in my prior machine which is nice. Silverware does clean better in bottom basket than the top rack. Machine seems designed to run cleaning modes that clean more heavily soiled items on bottom. We typically rinse all our items so this is no big deal, but while I was putting the machine though stress tests, this is what I discovered. Installation of this device was head and shoulders easier than my old domestic brand. The engineers seem to actually have a brain. There is a screw on the front bottom of the machine to lower and raise the back end of the machine for leveling so no cumbersome reaching under machine to raise legs with a wrench. I read some review that talked about not being able to anchor the top screws to the counter and the machine would rock and require side mounting. It does come with side mount ability, but once I discovered the machine requires the hoses to be routed lower, I was able to push the machine all the way back into my cabinet and get a solid anchor point to screw into. I suspect other people did not notice this and it may have limited their ability to push the machine back further. The template that comes with the machine is accurate on where you need to drill holes for water supply line access and drain hose, but the height it required would cause you to drill a hole through the bottom cabinet shelf. The hole cannot be drilled any higher than the template due to the design of the back of the machine only allows for the hoses to travel at or below this level. I did not want to do this as I feared it would affect the structural integrity of my cabinet, so I tossed their template in the garbage and drilled holes in different locations. I routed the hosed under the shelf and back up through the bottom of the shelf. I have attached photos for you to see. If your cabinets are not standard size, then you may not have this issue. The interior of the machine says it’s stainless steel but it appears to be plasticity coated stainless. Not what I was expecting, but this is my own fault for not seeing it in person before purchasing. It seems to stay clean though so no real complaints other than check it out for yourself to see if it’s a turn off for you before buying. The top and bottom racks have sections that fold up and down. At first, I didn’t think I would like this because to me it just seems like another thing to wear down and break. However, after a few weeks of using the machine with racks down, I just leave them down. It makes fitting my large ceramic bowls in place easier. I find that I use more bowl items than cups so leaving them down works well for my household and I rarely have had to raise the lower rack shelves because I have run out of space. The rack pins on the bottom rack are very straight compared to my prior dishwasher. In my old one, my curvy plates would fit down into the rack like a glove where now I place them a slot apart to give the water an easier time reaching the cleaning surface. I haven’t tried putting them right on top of one another, but I suspect the cleaning would be affected if I did. I don’t overload my dishwasher to the max so this hasn’t been a problem for me on my curvy plates, but I thought it was worth mentioning if you are the type of person to do that. Take a few of your dishes with you to the store to test it out is what I would recommend. With my last dishwasher that was about 30% cheaper than this one failing me after 13 months, I’m hesitant to give any machine a 5-star review. That being said my biggest concern is the longevity of the unit and will not be able to speak to that until more time has passed. I bought the in-store warranty due to my prior experience making me feel as if I didn’t get my money worth out of the machine since this one was a bit more to purchase initially. The cost of which is less than the cost of the first repair on the machine and lasts for 5 years. If I never have to use the warranty, I feel my monthly out of pocket is very reasonable and I’ll likely wind up purchasing another LG dishwasher. And the machine makes an entertaining tune at the end of the cycle that always makes us laugh.

        Disappointing
The dishwasher is very quiet which I love. On the other hand, the dishes do not get dried so I have to use a t-towel to dry them when emptying the unit. I recently learned that the dishwasher does not have a heated drying element but uses heated air from the dishes to dry. The glasses do not dry and get water spots even though I've added a rinse aid and live in a climate with single digit to low teens humidity. The stainless steel door facing is impossible to clean without streaking (I do not have the smudge proof option). Today, I noticed what looks like 'leopard spots' on the door even though I only use mild soap and a microfiber cloth to clean and dry. These spots can not be removed. I've had the dishwasher for one month today. I will put it on-line and hope that I can get a few hundred for it which I will put towards the purchase of another (not LG) dishwasher.
