We bought this fan because we have small children. I puts out as much air as an oscillating fan and fits in a much smaller space. The timer feature is an added bonus.

Good fan
**See my photos below for details on what I discuss in this review.** The Lasko Airlogic Bladeless Fan with Remote Control is a good fan. It's relatively stylish with a definitively modern look, and doesn't have a large footprint: it's only 11" from front to back and stands 36" tall. The highest setting on this fan makes a fair amount of noise--though not ridiculous-- but isn't extremely powerful (probably equivalent to a mid-level setting on a traditional fan), so keep that in mind as you're comparing options. The included remote control makes turning the fan on/off very easy, and also enables you to control the fan speed, timer, oscillation, and fresh ion™ settings without having to get up and touch the fan itself; however, if you're near the fan, you can control all of those features on the easy-to-use control panel built into the fan. When I selected this fan, I didn't realize that it also ionized the air, nor did I realize that it comes with a built-in, washable filtration system. Both are pluses, for sure! The only serious issue I have with this fan is that it doesn't feel solidly built. Upon pulling the fan out of the packaging (it comes assembled), both of the side panels, which are made out of a thin plastic, were not fully attached, so I had to snap them into place before turning it on. I don't know that this will be a major issue since I don't tend to put my fans through a lot of punishment that would endanger the sides. Also, the "EZclick™ Filter System" doesn't click in and out like the instructions say it should - after pressing the EZclick™ Filter button to release the cover for the washable filter, I have to pry the cover out - it's just a little bit too big for the space it occupies.

Sleek, modern and stylish. Fixed or oscillating mode. Good air flow. Quiet operation.
This tower fan from Lasko comes fully-assembled and ready for use as soon as you remove it from the box and peel off the protective plastic. It stands 3-feet tall and is narrow at the top with a base of 9 inches wide and depth of about 12 inches. The slim profile makes the fan almost unnoticeable in a corner space. The bladeless, space-saving design of this fan is sleek, modern and stylish, as well as functional. It can be used in a fixed or oscillating position to circulate air to cool any sized room. A full-function remote control and batteries for the remote control are included. The fan features a permanent, washable filter which is located in the back of the fan, where it is easily accessible. There is also a place in the back of the fan for storing the remote control. The fan features 4 fan speeds (1 is low and 4 is high) and an 8 hour timer. The timer ensures the fan doesn’t remain on when no one is home to enjoy it. IMO, operation of the fan, even on the highest fan speed of 4, is quieter than a box or pedestal fan on low fan speed, is equally as powerful because it channels the air better, and is aesthetically more pleasing to the eye. Box fans that I own or have owned seem powerful, but in reality most create an excessive amount of noise and vibration, and don’t actually move much air. I have a 5-ft pedestal fan that I use in the summer months to increase the efficiency of my air conditioner. Aside from being unsightly, taking up a copious amount of floor space, and creating a hazard for small fingers, is so loud, it’s difficult to carry on normal conversation while it’s operating. The Lasko AC600 is quieter than most fans, especially on the lowest fan speed, and allows for normal conversation, even on its fastest fan speed. The fan is plastic, but is weighty at about 15 lbs., with the majority of the weight in the base, where it provides stability to prevent the fan from easily tipping over. One thing to note is the retaining clip at the top of the plastic vent that provides access to the filter, is flimsy, so care needs to be taken when removing and replacing the filter so as not to break it. The oscillating base is very smooth, but I had a difficult time trying to get the fan to stop in a forward-facing position after placing it in oscillating mode. When I removed the fan from the box, I noticed excess plastic between the vents, where the two halves of the fans housing come together. The plastic was hard and sharp enough to cut skin, so I trimmed the excess plastic off with a razor knife. While there may be some minor quality issues with the plastic molds, overall, this is a very nice tower fan.

Great looking blade-less fan!!!
The fan looks great in the living room or bedroom with its modern design. It looks pretty kid friendly considering the fan has no blades and all the other moving parts are concealed. It is pretty efficient too considering its footprint and being lightweight you can easily move it from room to room. The fan is silent at level 1 setting but tends to be a little noisy at higher levels. However, nothing too annoying. It has a reusable filter that can be cleaned easily. I cannot comment on how efficient the ionizing feature is, but its good to have it on anyways. The breeze is pretty gentle and soothing and it would be a great fan for the summers. The remote and timer feature are a nice addition especially when you do not need it for prolonged periods during colder nights.

Kid safe fan
Blade-less Fan is the way to go. The moving parts are hidden and that makes it kid safe. It's quiet at speed 1 and can go up to speed 4. The tower's modern aesthetics is a visually pleasing and can fit in almost any room. Digital controls with remote makes it easy to control right from your bed. There is an 8-hour timer. There's also a permanent washable filter which is nice feature for a fan.

Moves air well but makes odd noise
Very sleek design and love the safety of being bladeless, as well as easier cleaning. Moves a ton of air, there are 4 speeds and level 4 is very powerful. However it falls short short for us as we use a fan to sleep and this makes an odd clicking sound that is very distracting. Also when I went to turn on our electric fireplace this fan turned on as well, so I can't have them in the same room. The oscillating feature is very smooth. Overall if you just want to move air this is a great and good looking fan, however if you need consistent white noise to sleep this will probably annoy you with the odd sound.

Blows well, oscillates nicely, ionise too!
OVERALL: Good breeze, but not strong as a box fan. Nice space saver, good looking design. Oscillation is very nice in limited range. Air inoiser is a nice bonus, with cleanable filter. AIR FLOW: I set up a test with a Lasko box fan. This fan on high seems similar to the box fans medium setting in terms of air flow. Good volume, but not as good as a box fan. DESIGN: Looks great. Saves a lot of floor space in a small house. Buttons and electrical interface are clean and good looking. Lights aren't overly bright. Oscillation is nice, but only about 45 degrees. NOISE: Quieter than the box fan, but it does produce some vibration that transfers on hard wood or tile. Not terrible, but worth noting if that would bother you. AIR QUALITY: Seems nice. The filter is easy to clean, but didn't get overly dirty in a few days use. Hard to quantity air purifying affects of ioniser, but it's a nice feature.

Beat the Heat With This One
Here stands in front of you a bladeless tower fan. And it's more modern-looking than ever. It looks like it belongs in the future. It is so slick and cool. It is of good size and weight, and when placed, seems to be saying, "I am not going anywhere." Now, my fan is white, so if you have long-haired dogs, the hair may tend to get stuck on the white siding of the unit, but of course it's easy to brush off if this happens. The included remote has all of the functions, and the fan has a location for storing the remote, on the back above the filter. The filter is extremely easy to remove and clean the filter, which must be done every two weeks for best performance. I really like that the remote has all of the features that can be controlled on the fan itself. You do have to point the remote directly at the fan for it to properly receive instructions, much like a TV. The fresh ion feature is really nice as well, and does not give off a bad scent like most ionizing filters I have come across. Timer mode works as expected, from 1 to 8 hours, and turns off after use; this is a great feature when leaving the house or heading to bed for the night. The oscillation feature works really well, and does not make any sounds when turning. The fan levels are not irritating nor loud, and the air movement is quite effective! Everything about this fan speaks of great quality, and I am very happy with it.
