  • Non Skid, Fills Hairline Cracks
  • Car Traffic in 4 hours
(Note: If product is not available to order in your area that is due to nighttime temperatures. Product may not cure and/or track in late Fall and early Spring applications). Acrylic Plus is a new rollable acrylic based formula designed to be extremely durable and flexible while maintaining its rich, black color. Acrylic Plus contains natural fillers to help fill hairline cracks and give you a non-skid finish. Designed for good condition driveways (Either unsealed or previously sealed). Do not use Acrylic Plus on poor condition, rough driveways or if driveway contains cracks. For porous driveways or blacktop that is not compacted well we recommend using one of our sealers that contains more filler properties: Airport Grade, Optimum or Ultra Shield. Helpful Hints before you seal your driveway: 1. Do the project all at one time without starting and stopping. 2. Check the weather and make sure no rain is forecast and it is at least 50 Degree at night (A cold driveway will not allow the sealer to cure properly).
  • Do not use a squeegee or brush with acrylic plus or you significantly risk cracking and/or peeling
  • Approximately 700 sq. ft. to 800 sq. ft. coverage for good, smooth, or previously sealed blacktop
  • Approximately 600 sq. ft. to 700 sq. ft. coverage for moderate surfaces with minor/hairline cracking
  • Approximately 400 sq. ft. to 600 sq. ft. coverage for unsealed or graying blacktop (do not use on poor condition, very rough / porous blacktop - use a sealer with more filler properties)
  • Remember: clean your driveway thoroughly so sealer will bond and make sure you do not seal when it is cold outside, it must be at least 55 Degrees at night for sealer to properly cure and last
  • Do not seal in early spring or late fall as the sealer will not last - it will not cure properly and may track
  • Easy to apply with a roller, use 3/8 in. nap or 1/2 in. nap if never been sealed
  • New fortified formula is non-skid and fills hairline cracks
  • Fast dry formula - ready for foot traffic in 1 hour and car traffic in only 4 hours (allow more time if shaded)
  • Acrylic formula - built in primer for enhanced durability
  • No fade technology: stays deep, matte black
  • Low VOC formula, cleans up with soap and water
  • Assurance: we stand behind our warranty - it is not prorated

What is the recommended temperature range to apply the sealer? By noon it was 90 and not spreading well.

Asked by: mike
The temperature should be at least in the mid-50's -- probably better over 60 -- and I found when I applied it that I had to stop when the temperature got to around the low 90's, because the material in the bucket will more quickly become thick and less spreadable. If you had someone constantly stirring it, you could possibly work in higher temps.

As a friend once told me several years ago, you don't see the highway departments putting sealers on blacktop pavement. I typically use the latex-ite roll-on sealer as (1) you can drive on it within 3-4 hours and (2) it makes the driveway look nice and clean. Otherwise, I personally doubt that the sealers do much of any good.

4 Gal. Acrylic Plus Driveway Revitalizer Filler/Sealer is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 104.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thrilled with this product My driveway is about 1300 sq ft. I used the less expensive "Airport grade" version of this product 3 years ago. I used 3.5 buckets at the time, and my driveway was very streaky. Was not too happy with the results. This time I decided to try this more expensive product, the Acrylic plus, and all i can say is wow. Easier to mix, easier to apply, used WAY less (2 buckets), and there are virtually no streaks. The only warning I have for anyone considering this product is don't expect it to fill in cracks, even hairline, as advertised, because it won't. Then again neither will the airport grade. Get your own separate sealer for your cracks. See pictures. Very happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great result requiring a fair amount of work. I prepped the driveway (2250 sq. ft.) with driveway cleaner and a pressure washer. Fixed the larger cracks with Trowel-patch which worked better than the Crack repair tube, both by Latex-ite. The prep work took about three hours. Being fairly obsessive-compulsive, I had my daughter brush the driveway edges with the Acrylic-plus while I rolled on the product with help from my son and wife. We needed to lay on a fair amount as my driveway had not been sealed in 15 years. This took about 6 man-hours. I did achieve about 450 sq.ft. per 4 gallon container. If it holds up for the advertised 10 years, I'll be very pleased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks Great Just follow the directions. Clean and prep surface properly and it will look great when you are done! My driveway has never been sealed so I got around 400 sq. feet coverage per bucket. It took 4 buckets to complete my 1,600 sq foot driveway. My wife, son and I did driveway in about 2 and a half hours. Used 9 inch rollers with 1/2 inch nap. Needed to change rollers about half way through. My neighbor thought we had a professional do it because it looked so good. This is the first time I ever sealed a driveway and if I can do it anyone can do it. Nice to save money doing things yourself. Bottom line excellent product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Took two coats In my experience the coverage stated is wildly optimistic. I have 2000 square feet and it took two coats and five containers to do the job properly. My driveway was previously sealed. I choose the product because of the 10 year durability guarantee (although who knows how I would collect on that) and ease of application with a roller. Check your driveway very closely. There are often irregularities (e.g., pebble-sized holes and hairline cracks) that are not easy to spot until they are highlighted with the first pass of the product. If I had it to do over I would use the Optimum 8 year. This product is best suited for a nearly prefect driveway, perhaps no more than a year old.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't walk, run to buy this! Trust me, it doesn't get any easier. The Home Depot employee showed me this new product for driveways and said if you can use a paint roller, you can coat your driveway. I bought 2 pails of Acrylic Plus and some paint rollers. Went home gave it a qucik stir (grab some big paint stirrers from the paint dept. FREE) and began rolling the sealer over my blacktop. Oh I blew the sand off and gave it a quick rinse first, in fact Depot dude told me that misting cools the surface, a good idea in Florida heat. Bottom line, my driveway looks bran-spankin new again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Application was very easy I used a 9" 1/2" nap roller to do a 2100 sq ft driveway. Mixing the sealer was as easy as it gets, but you do have to mix it thoroughly. The 9" roller fit in the pail perfectly ( a 12 or 18" wouldn't). It took me 4 1/2 hours to finish the job with 3 1/2 pails & 2 rollers. It looks great except: I needed to go back and use a 2nd coat to cover small cracks (<1/16" wide), Blending of roller strokes was very good until the sun got on the surface, then the work area had to shrink to 3' x 3', I would use this product again, but I would roll the cracks (even the small ones) first and then do the entire job. Don't be stingy with this stuff. It goes on smooth and I got better than 500 sq ft per pail on a surface sealed once 6 years ago.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product for roller application To maximize sq. footage you have to apply the acrylic in the AM and shade and use a roller that holds a lot of product in the nap. Putting it on in the afternoon sun will double or triple the amount of product used. Time to roll took my wife and I about three hours for a front drive, side drive and back walk ,2400sq.ft total Used 2 and 1/2 pails of product mixed with 1 qt. of water per pail. Over the years our areas had been sealed semi annually. Prior to applying the acrylic I used the Pli Stix crack filler latexite product which took some time but worked well on the larger cracks (over 1/32").

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great buy Rarely does a product perform as advertised. This did! I normally use about 8-10 gallons of drive way sealer, and this covered with some to spare with less than 5 gallons. Went on easily. initial stirring was a snap. usually there is heavy crud that needs to be mixed into a layer of solvent on the top. I used a 9" roller, which I thought was dumb...too lazy to go back to HD for a larger roller. The 9' roller worked perfectly, as the directions said...dip the roller into the container and then roll a 4' x 4' section. worked great. The most expensive, but most cost effective. Obviously I cant tell how it will last, but it went on easily and looks great. Oh by the way, I bought it to keep my pets from traipsing across wet sealer...it dried as stated within an hour. I'll probably wait more than 4 before I drive on it; why chance ruining a great experience. After a shower, I'll be taking back the second container, which I won't be using.
