The Lawn Genie 1 in. Valve Adapter easily converts manual brass valves to automatic operation. This valve adapter features internal bleed to turn the valve on at the manifold location for system check-ups or for extra watering, and manual flow control which allows for fine tuning of the amount of water pressure going to each individual zone reducing misting and fogging at the sprinkler and therefore saving water. Lawn Genie Valve Adapters also feature a unique water tight seal, durable, professional quality solenoid and a double beaded diaphragm for long life and low maintenance. Does not work with 1" 466 Champion Brass Valves

The treads in the Lawn Genie Valve Adapter are cut differently than those in the Champion 466 Valve, making it impossible to thread the valve adapter into the Champion brass valve without cross-threading the adapter. I wasted much time and ruined two adapters. Note that I am a skilled mechanic and am extremely careful.

Not fault of the valve actuator. Will NOT fit a 1" Wilkins brass manual valve. So I returned it.

I used this valve in a regular valve (not a anti syphon valve) and it worked great. You have to be really careful to not cross thread the threads. The ones I received came with a new gasket. I wish I would have known about these sooner, so easy to convert from old manual valves. I have only had these installed for about three weeks, so I cannot say how long they will last.

Poor design and wrong gasket. The plastic threads were a problem with the brass valve body, the top swiveled, making it difficult to reach the bottom nut and a wrong, large ID gasket was provided. It was very difficult to assemble without leaking.

Worked fine to replace an earlier green electric adapter. The photo is wrong. It actually has a male thread which fits the brass valve. Smart to use this adapter and keep your brass valve body since no re-plumbing is required and the brass will likely outlast newer plastic bodies.
