A:Β  I generally do not buy repair parts for sprinkler control valves. Sometimes they can be found on store shelves where the valves are sold. However, as affordable as the valves themselves are, replacing the complete valve is always the best and longest lasting fix. Where old valves are installed on the pipes, hacksaw cut the old valve in two, between the two halves and rotate the two halves off the pipes, use two PVC unions with thread sealant to install the new sprinkler control valve.

A:Β  If you have already used the same fitting that worked on the correct side and placed it on the side that is giving you trouble and it does not work, then you have defective units. I have purchased more than 6 and I do not have the same problem as you do.

A:Β  Thank you for your question. We apologize for any inconvenience. We did test some valves that had tight inlet threads. We made adjustments to our tooling to make the inlets easier to thread onto. In regards to tightening your fittings into the valves, you do not have to worry about cracking/breaking the valve. With some pressure, you should be able to achieve 2.5 to 3 rotations.

A:Β  Normally the inlet adapter is on the pipe coming up from the ground. The valve should spin on with little resistance until almost seated to the outlet pipe . Something is wrong, more probably with the adapters. Take a couple of the valves and adapters where you bought them and show them your problem. May I also suggest that on your outlet setup to use unions. On tight spaces use unions on both in and out. Replacing the valves is usually cheaper than rebuilding. Just a heads up because they do go out after 5 to 7 years.

A:Β  No they are not the same as irritrol these are two completely separate companies

          by|Sep 26, 2020

A:Β  Yes, they are just branded and packaged differently. This would be a direct replacement for an Irritrol valve. Thank you.

Installed 4 valves in April 2019. Two of them have blown off the back-flow cover. The covers are now stripped and won't stay on. The water pressure in the area is only 80-90 lbs. Now I have to buy new ones to replace them when they are only 3 months old.

This valve is good, old green one bad
This valve is replacing the older Green Lawn Genie valve that broke off just above the input line boss. Wasted 2000 CF of water. Valve in protected area, no sun and never froze. Recommend changing all old green valves. A second one broke but not as bad. The plastic cracked allowing the valve to turn on.
