loud & Wet
I purchased this and had it professionally installed. It is LOUD, LOUD, LOUD. Just after the warranty ran out it cracked spewing water everywhere - because it is a a pressure booster. The company would not stand behind their product as it is obviously a defect in design or production. Doing further research I found several others who experienced the same catastrophic failure. DON"T BE ONE OF US. Buy a more trusted and reliable brand.

DO NOT BUY !!!!! I had a professional water treatment company recommend and install this product. It is extremely loud and vibrates terribly. It failed to maintain pressure after 6 months and just after 1 yr, it cracked open. I contacted little Giant (The Manufacturer) and they did not care or act concerned and informed me to "Go back where I bought it". Never again. I am not the only person to whom this has happened. Please reference the photo.

It's noisy, can be heard on 2nd floor
This was installed by license plumber; it makes a terrible noise. One of the above comments (in 2018) by "Chris" said noise level to be ~55Db, well how about 90+ and adding large vibration when cutting in. Will probably replace within next month since pipes wont hold up with the vibration and hate to wake up one morning with cellar flooded.

Don't buy this booster pump. It create the noise up to 80 dba. I almost can not sleep.

So far so good. This pump is quiet than another pump I have owned before. But the instruction is confusing me because I am not native English. I want the pump to start boost when I begin using water but it take delay 10-15 seconds to start even I turn the screw counter-clockwise like manual say. Anyway, it is still good pump.

This pump works great but is extremely loud. You really cannot have it anywhere in a house and not hear it. I would really like to return it.

Let me say at the outset I am sorry for your inconvenience and by no means do I doubt your opinion. As the perception of sound is subjective, i would like to introduce some accepted standards into this conversation for both you benefit and that of others that may read this. This appliance has been tested independently and should emit sound no greater than 55 decibels. Now when I searched on line for DB equivalencies, one list described 55 as a quiet conversation and the other a dishwasher running in an adjoining room. If what you are hearig is louder than that I would compare your installation to what is in the install manual. This unit needs to be installed with a two gallon diaphragm style storage tank with in 5' if the pump outlet. The tank acts as a shock absorption devise to prevent water hammer. It also buffers the pump from in adequate flow. If it is not there the impeller can cause cavitation and that is noisy. When the pump spins it creates a negative pressure. This can cause the water to boil at room temperature. We call this cavitation.

Broke apart while I was at work.
This unit is mostly made of plastic. The top most part like you see in the picture cracked open while I was at work. I came home to find hundreds of gallons of water had been sprayed all over my laundry room.

Purchased this unit to increase water pressure for Townhome. What is and was required for a proper installation was 2 Pressure Relief Valves, 2 PSI Gauges, and the appropriate cooper piping to connect it all. Also the installation also calls for an external 2 gallon pressure tank that sits between the pump and the rest of the plumbing. All said and done that added another $500+ to make it all work. The pump works fine, it does what it's supposed to do but is it whisper quiet - no. And after adjusting the pressure for the external pressure tank, it takes the system a moment to kick -in because the pump feeds the external tank and the external tank then pushes the water pressure through the system at the desired PSI level. I've also had to put some foam baffling around the unit and piping to keep vibration and noise level down but it's a small price to pay for good water pressure.
