Questions & Answers

What's this item's psi strength and rating?

I want to apply this bonding agent to stop air leaks from a compressed air can that can hold up to 75 psi and I really don't want to die today from AIR so what's the psi strength of the bonding agent?
Asked by: Sham
I researched this once and believe it's rated around 150 psi (..not sure). But once this stuff cures, the bond is secure. If your trying to stop an air compressor leak, I'd go with replacing the fitting or buying a new hose ... or replacing/welding the tank. Nothing beats doing the job the right way. Air tanks loose their structural-strenght after a few years because of the fatigue on the metal. This is why quality portable air tanks have an expiration date stamped on them. But if you need another option, JB Weld 5-minute exoxy would be my recommendation. Once cured, JB Weld for metal is stronger than any epoxy I have ever used. Good luck. Alex, Griffin, GA
