Base is poorly designed, and quality control is non existent. Spent over $2,000 for the entire Utile Shower. I chose this versus tile to save time and ease of maintenance. While the shower walls are expensive versus tile, they were fine. The base is another story. After spending numerous hours leveling the floor, was unable to set the base, as there was an extreme bow in it. Shimming was not an option. In addition, the drain is poorly designed. After installation, there is a trough that holds water around the square drain cover. You should also note that when installing this in a basement over concrete, the floor will need to be built up as the drain sits well below the base even though the base height is 4 inches. Since one of these bases is necessary to use the Utile Wall System, I would suggest an alternative route.
