Product Details

Montana's GOLD line provides superb handling, ideal for photorealistic works. This versatile, fast drying spray color provides excellent opaque coverage of pure, brilliant color. The spray cans work with a level cap system, allowing for both low- and high-pressure performance in the same can: go from low-pressure output for working in thin lines and fine detail to high-pressure output for easily filling in larger areas. It is suitable for indoor work, as the atomized spray is reduced to a minimum and is nearly odor-free. A colored ring at the top of the can that identifies the color inside so you can easily identify your color and visualize your palette.
  • Suitable for application on canvas, wood, concrete, metal, glass or even flexible surface
  • 1 can covers 25 sq. ft., depending on surface porosity
  • Matte finish provides non-reflective appearance
  • Formulated to withstand seasonal weather
  • 360° spray nozzle allows you to paint from any angle, even upside down
  • 100% lead and CFC free
  • Dries to the touch in as little as 15-minutes for fast convenient use
  • Remove the spray nozzle and turn the can upside down. Strike with your palm allowing safety ring to fall out. Shake vigorously for 2-3 minutes ensuring you can hear the mixing balls moving freely. Replace the cap back onto the top of the can valve and trigger away from substrate to test.

Q:Can I use this as pool paint? I have a galvanized tank, that already has a liner inside but wanting to change the color of it. Will this paint work and hold up in submerged water?

    Q:The nozzle for the two cans of spray I just purchased DO NOT work (i.e.., they can not be pushed down to work)! What's the problem with this product? Also, after waiting a week for the cans to be delivered across the country, this product is useless!

    A:  Montana spray cans have a small black safety ring underneath the cap to prevent the can from being sprayed.       A:  Montana GOLD is not a specific fabric paint. We recommed fabric paints for commercial fabric projects. It may dry hard on some fabrics and is not resistant to heavy use or some washing detergents over time.

        A:  Montana GOLD works on many substrates such as paper, cardboard, canvas, wood, concrete, metal, ceramic and synthetic surfaces. It is recommended to check compatibility on a non visible part of your object.

          Terrible!
          For how this paint is touted, it's a mess to use. Considering the cost, I was *highly* disappointed in the product. As soon as I pushed the button down to use it (after shaking for 2-3mins.), 1/2 of it wound up dribbling down the front of the can, creating quite a mess. Thankfully, I was wearing gloves, or my entire hand would have been the color I was using. Too bad . . . I was excited to see some of the more hard-to-find colors.

            Does Not Spray OD Green
            This spray paint is supposed to be OD Green. Instead it sprays a lime green. Would stay away from this spray paint. I also highly recommend only purchasing spray paint in store so you can use their floor to test the paint color before purchasing.

                uneven color, splatter finish, very little coverage
                I was so excited to find this brand and all of its glorious colors. Unfortunately it was a terrible finish. I used a primer to try to guarantee a uniform color. Then did 3 coats with sanding in between each coat to try and get a clean finish. I shook the can for 3 minutes before each use (per directions). It would randomly splatter and the color is completely uneven. Looks terrible. For such an expensive spray paint, I was very disappointed. The can also ran out quickly. I sprayed 2 drawer fronts that were 8" x 27" and that used up the whole can??

                  I get it is matte, but it comes out very gritty, and it spits out specs of color that doesn't blend with the rest. It was well-shaken, but still speckly, and drips. Only spray can that I have that leaves paint on my finger... drips.

                    Color was good, product was bad, spattered, dribbled, clogged, even after replacing the tip with a new one, ruined the project, shook the can prior for a guaranteed ten minutes. Also went over a common primer and it had a reaction and crinkled it all up. Id have to chalk it up to a disaster. Maybe a bad can, who knows, maybe was a old can who knows.
