Excellent cooktop
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Doing a complete kitchen remodel. Still waiting on countertops, but the contractor installed our new cooktop so we could cook Christmas dinner. We absolutely loved using our new cooktop.

Beautiful Cooktop
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife and I debated about replacing our existing 30” Maytag black cooktop with another 30” or 36”. Another 30” would have been much easier. We are so glad we went with the 36”! So much more cooking area and she loves it! Now for the new backsplash!

I love the cooktop BUT the letters for on, off, hi, low are VERY faint. I have to stand directly...
I love the cooktop BUT the letters for on, off, hi, low are VERY faint. I have to stand directly over or view from the side. If I turn on the overhead fan light even harder to read. The picture when purchased shows the print MUCH darker. This is very disappointing. It is almost like they forgot to finish the printing. I am checking to see if this can be exchanged. Delivered 11/12 but I was not at home to view until end of November.

Looks great, works great but a nightmare to clean
It is a gas cooktop, it does what it is supposed to the main issue is cleaning the thing. There are 3 grates that cover the 5 burners. They sit on tiny nubs and interlock. So every time you cook you must remove these to clean. The side ones weigh 10.5 pounds, which is a bit excessive to remove daily. Unfortunately these monster grates seem to be the current bad trend. We are building a house and with our experience with new Oven, Fridge and cooktop, we won't be looking at Maytag.

We are so glad to be back to GAS with this fine unit. Have been using it for a couple of weeks now...we look forward to cooking every day with this unit. We recommend it highly..!
