This Merola Tile Hudson Penny Round Glossy Sapphire 12 in. x 12 in. Porcelain Mosaic Tile offers a beautifully tranquil update on the timeless penny round design. These tiles feature an eye-drop effect reactive glaze, creating variably blue tones in the center mixed with grey shades on the edge. The end effect is a pleasing mixture of cool-toned tints with additional dimension added by the high-gloss finish. Impervious, frost-resistant and easy to clean, this tile is a perfect choice on its own or coordinated with other colors in our Hudson Penny Round series.
  • 10.7 sq. ft., 10-pieces per case, case weight is 18.0 lbs.
  • Grade 1, first-quality porcelain tile for floor and wall use.
  • 12 in. width x 12.63 in. length x 0.21 in. mm thick mesh-mounted mosaic. 0.8 in. W x 0.8 in. L pieces
  • Glazed smooth finish with a high sheen and slight variation in tone
  • P.E.I. Rating II is suitable for all interior walls and light foot traffic such as powder rooms
  • Impervious tiles have a water absorption of less than 0.5% for indoor and outdoor use and is frost resistant
  • C.O.F. less than or equal to .5 is considered to have a marginally low skid resistance.
  • Completely frost resistant for indoor or outdoor applications; use a latex-modified thinset for acceptable bond strength
  • Residential use only
  • Don't forget your coordinating trim pieces, grout, backerboard, thinset, and installation tools

          nice tile
          We like how this tile turned out! The sheet makes it easy to install and it wasnt too bad to cut the tiny peices on our tile saw. Used with Platinum grout color.

            Love penny tile
            Merola Tile - Merola Tile Hudson Penny Round Midnight 12 in. x 12-5/8 in. Porcelain Mosaic (10.74 sq. ft./Case), Midnight / High Sheen. Very nice tile. Vibrant color. I used this on the back wall of a niche to give it some personality. Make sure you carefully line up or you will see each individual tile. Other than that, great Tile. May have to cut with a Tile saw, so recommend that you have one ready.

            GORGEOUS colors
            I could not love this tile more. I really hunted for it and it turned out exactly as I wanted. Used warm gray MAPEI grout with it which was the grout used throughout rest of bathroom and with other tiles. Beautiful!

              Beautiful tile but not evenly spaced on mesh backing
              I ordered 2 boxes of Hudson penny tile truffle color. It's beautiful tile, but they are not evenly spaced on the mesh backing. Some circle tiles are even touching each other. I will never be able to install this tile well if it doesn't even start off being lined up. Not sure what I'm going to do now. Do I order more and lose another week of time only to find the new order is the same way?

                The tile looks amazing installed, and given it is some of the cheapest floor tile Home Depot offers, you can’t beat the price for the look and quality. Seemed to be fairly simple for our contractor to install. Looks very high end and expensive. We paired it with non sanded grout in platinum and love the look. Highly recommend.

                  Beautiful but extremely uneven spacing for grout lines...
                  These tiles are beautiful, but I have not install them yet, because of the spacing between the pennies are too inconsistent. Pick any spot on the tile, and you will see the drastic inconsistencies. Between some pennies there are no spacing at all (they are rubbing each other), and some have too much spacing. If the grout color does not blend in with the color of the tile, the inconsistency in the grout lines will be very noticeable. I'm also concerned the pennies may crack where they are butted each other. If the uneven spacing are on few pennies, I could remove and reposition them, but the unevenness are throughout the each tile. I'm debating if I should return them or take chance and install them...

                    Absolutely love this glossy, sassy tile. We used it in a beach-themed bathroom backsplash. A tool to snap tiles in half was used on the half circle pieces. After trying many grout colors, FusionPro Snow White (a slight off-white grout) looked the best for us and really shows off the beautiful green/teal color. The high sheen is really pretty.
