This is a glazed tile. So, it doesn't need a sealer. If you are referring to grout, it would depend on the width of the grout joint. I used a premium rapid-setting grout with aggregate. As far as caulk/sealant, see if the grout manufacturer makes one to match the grout. Happy Tiling!
Hi! Sealing our Twenties Vertex is not required. This product has a glazed surface that is easy to maintain, thus choosing to seal this tile is a matter of personal preference. However, it is important to note that while glazed tile does not need to be sealed, the grout may need to be depending on your installation. We recommend referring to the manufacturer instructions for the grout you chose. If you have any further questions, please give us a call at (800)-963-7652.
even though this is a low sheen it is still just a ceramic tile which does not need to be sealed - ever. You need to seal the grout and for that I can say from experience that the more you spend the less often you have to seal the grout. Tile Labs most expensive one at HomeDepot is good and will last a few years (3) depending on traffic and cleaning.
Hi, Zelda! It would depend on the size of your shower and the location of your drain. According to the TCNA, your floor needs to be sloped ¼” per foot. If you have any further questions, please give us a call at (800)-963-7652.
No, these tiles are beautiful for the floor or walls. I think if you place them on the bottom of the shower would be to dark. They are smooth but no slippery.
No, this tile does not come with a baseboard. We used White bullnose ceramic tile for baseboards.
Hi Brooke, Our Twenties Vertex does not come with a coordinating base board. Within the Twenties series, we offer three bullnose trims that could work great for your installation https://thd.co/2N1HoNS. As Twenties Vertex is primarily charcoal and white, we would recommend taking a closer look at our Twenties Black Bullnose https://thd.co/2qDxf05, and our Twenties White Bullnose https://thd.co/2CvHZBV. These bullnose trims have finishes edges which could work great for a base board! Please keep in mind that although these tiles are in the same series, they do not come from the same dye lot. As a result of this, the different tones might not match up perfectly. We would recommend purchasing a few bullnose pieces to see if it would coordinate well for your project. Home Depot offers a 90-day return policy on all unused items returned in the full quantity they were sold. If you have any further questions, please give us a call at (800)-963-7652. Hope this helps!
I installed the tile in a circa 1910 house and used the original painted wood base board. I think it looks great.
Hi Joe! It depend on the location where this job will be at.
Hi Joe, For a space that covers 260.5 square feet, you will need to purchase a minimum of 621 tiles as each tile covers 0.42 square feet. This does not account for the grout joints between each tile. To account for the recommended 15% overage for cutting, future repairs, dye lot and caliber consistency, we would recommend purchasing 714 tiles. To find out how many tiles you would need to order, you would need to divide the square footage of the space by the square footage per each. When doing this, ensure that you round up so you have enough tiles (260.5/0.42 = 620.24 or 621 tiles). To account for the extra recommended amount, you should add 15% to the square footage, and then divide that by the square footage per sheet (299.58/0.42 = 713.27 or 714 tiles). Please refer to the pricing on the product page for an accurate cost. Please contact The Home Depot (800)-466-3337 with any questions about current prices. If you have any further questions, please give us a call at (800)-963-7652. Hope this helps!
Hi Bela, Unfortunately, we are unable to ship to Canada at this time. However, we have a few options that you could explore to receive this tile. One option would be to order this tile and have it set to be picked up to the closest location in the United States and picking it up in the store. Otherwise, you can explore Import and Export Services through the Home Depot http://thd.co/2iVyTbD or proxy shipping. Proxy shipping is when you ship the item to a location in the United States and have the shipment forwarded to your address. This option may get rather pricey, so it is best to explore all options and decide what you feel is best for you. If you have any questions about Home Depot Import and Export Services, please reach out to them. If you have any further questions, please give us a call at (800)-963-7652. Hope this helps!
Don't know the answer since we only ordered a few. The tiles measure 8" x 8". I love these tiles, great design, quality and price.
Hey there, These tiles are sold by the each, not by the case. Each tile with recommended grout line (3/16”) covers approximately .44 square feet, meaning that you will need 2.3 tiles per square foot. Keep in mind that we recommend purchasing 15% overage of patterned tile to account for cutting and repairs. Please refer to the product page for the current pricing per tile. For help with pricing, you can reach out to your local Home Depot store or Home Depot Customer Care. If you have any further questions, please reach out to our customer service team at (800)-963-7652. Hope this helps!
