What kind of sealant should I use

Asked by Sms May 25, 2020

Answers

Hi! Sealing our Twenties Vertex is not required. This product has a glazed surface that is easy to maintain, thus choosing to seal this tile is a matter of personal preference. However, it is important to note that while glazed tile does not need to be sealed, the grout may need to be depending on your installation. We recommend referring to the manufacturer instructions for the grout you chose. If you have any further questions, please give us a call at (800)-963-7652.

No, these tiles are beautiful for the floor or walls. I think if you place them on the bottom of the shower would be to dark. They are smooth but no slippery.

I need to know the cost of 260.5 sq ft. Remodeling kitchen and dining room. Thanks

Asked by Joe July 29, 2018

Answers

Hi Joe, For a space that covers 260.5 square feet, you will need to purchase a minimum of 621 tiles as each tile covers 0.42 square feet. This does not account for the grout joints between each tile. To account for the recommended 15% overage for cutting, future repairs, dye lot and caliber consistency, we would recommend purchasing 714 tiles. To find out how many tiles you would need to order, you would need to divide the square footage of the space by the square footage per each. When doing this, ensure that you round up so you have enough tiles (260.5/0.42 = 620.24 or 621 tiles). To account for the extra recommended amount, you should add 15% to the square footage, and then divide that by the square footage per sheet (299.58/0.42 = 713.27 or 714 tiles). Please refer to the pricing on the product page for an accurate cost. Please contact The Home Depot (800)-466-3337 with any questions about current prices. If you have any further questions, please give us a call at (800)-963-7652. Hope this helps!

can you ship to Home Depot in Vancouver BC Canada

Asked by Bela April 16, 2018
1
Answer

Hi Bela, Unfortunately, we are unable to ship to Canada at this time. However, we have a few options that you could explore to receive this tile. One option would be to order this tile and have it set to be picked up to the closest location in the United States and picking it up in the store. Otherwise, you can explore Import and Export Services through the Home Depot http://thd.co/2iVyTbD or proxy shipping. Proxy shipping is when you ship the item to a location in the United States and have the shipment forwarded to your address. This option may get rather pricey, so it is best to explore all options and decide what you feel is best for you. If you have any questions about Home Depot Import and Export Services, please reach out to them. If you have any further questions, please give us a call at (800)-963-7652. Hope this helps!

How much is case? And how many sq feet does it cover?

Asked by Wil September 25, 2017

Answers

Hey there, These tiles are sold by the each, not by the case. Each tile with recommended grout line (3/16”) covers approximately .44 square feet, meaning that you will need 2.3 tiles per square foot. Keep in mind that we recommend purchasing 15% overage of patterned tile to account for cutting and repairs. Please refer to the product page for the current pricing per tile. For help with pricing, you can reach out to your local Home Depot store or Home Depot Customer Care. If you have any further questions, please reach out to our customer service team at (800)-963-7652. Hope this helps!

Does this tile come in a larger size, and in black, instead of dark grey?

Asked by Julie August 3, 2017

how many tiles will I need for a bathroom 7' 1" x 5' 2" approx. 35 sq. ft.

Asked by connie June 1, 2017

Answer

Good Afternoon, For a space this size (7.08 x 5.16=36.5 or 37 square feet), you will need to purchase a minimum of 89 tiles. Each tile covers .42 square feet. Being as we recommend purchasing a 15% overage of patterned tiles to account for cutting, future repairs, dye lot and caliber consistency, you should buy 102 tiles. To find out how many tiles that you need to order, you can divide the square feet of the space by the square feet per tile. Always round up to ensure you have enough tiles (37/.42=88.09 or 89 tiles). To account for the extra recommended tile, you should add 15% to the square footage, and then divide that by the square foot per tile (42.6/.42=101.4 or 102 tiles). If you do not order all of the tile needed for your project in one order, we cannot guarantee dye lots will match over multiple orders. Please feel free to call us with any further questions you may have at (800)-963-7652. Hope this helps!

This tile is not porous on the surface because it is an easy-care glazed tile and it doesn't need sealing. If it was a real encaustic cement tile, then the advice you were given to seal the edges would make more sense. Happy Tiling!.

How many do I need for 200 sqft

Asked by Shalynn April 4, 2017

Answer

Good Afternoon, Our Twenties Vertex is sold by the each and is .42 square foot per each. For a space that is 200 square feet we recommend ordering 477 eaches. We always recommend ordering 15% extra of patterned tile for cutting, future repairs and dye lot and caliber consistency, so you will need to order a total of 548 eaches. To find out how many pieces that you need to order, you can divide the square feet of the space by the square feet per each. Always round up to ensure you have enough product (200/.42= 476.19 or 477 eaches). To account for the extra recommended tile, you should add 15% to the square footage, and then divide that by the square foot per each (230/.42= 547.61 or 548 eaches). Please feel free to call us with any further questions you may have at (800)-963-7652. Hope this helps!

These are beautiful! Definitely a matte finish and more of a dark charcoal color than true black. We installed using the recommended 1/4" spacing, used spacers, and charcoal grout. Home Depot customer service was great about refunding for the box that broke in transit. Love it!

Black and white tile is a new favorite trend. It's both classic and modern while adding an extra flair that's not too overdone. We used it to create a bold statement in a bathroom and mud room. It would also be great in a laundry room. The Merola Twenties tile is one of our favorite black and white tiles in a low price option! We had professionally installed. It is gorgeous!

We used these around our fireplace surround and they look great! They are a cement tile "knock-off" so the color is not as intense as I was hoping. The black is more dark grey, and the image looks printed on the tile. These are a great value, and it's a perfect tile to add interest to any room.

LOVE LOVE LOVE these tiles. We used them for a Miami condo renovation and they totally made the kitchen. There are a few different black and white patterns in this line and I'll definitely be using one of them again. They would also work for a kitchen backsplash or bathroom floor.

I have a rental with a very small kitchen, so I thought this tile would give it some pazazz. It turned out better than expected, the tile was easy to cut, I used the 7" wet saw. My only problem was determining how many tiles I would need as they are not 12*12. These tile are 73/4 by 73/4. I had to order more, but please with how it turned out.
