Can I use to drill holes in a tree stump and how difficult to handle when drilling

I need to drill 1-inch holes in a recently cut tree stump so I can put some stuff in the holes to accelerate the rotting process. Will this drill be able to handle the job? Also, is it difficult to handle this drill? I am a woman but I am not a weakling. I could handle the Stihl MS 170 to cut down the tree.
Asked by: sra2786
It will work fine. It may bind up on you so lean in to it!

The metal that the chuck is made from that holds the drill bit is too soft. It actually deformed the the grabbers that hold the drill bit. It would not tighten down enough to keep the bit from spinning inside the Chuck.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don’t stand behind their product!!!! I just sent mine in for repair. It is still under warranty. The chuck needed fixed and the motor was going out. They denied the warranty. When I called they said it was used to hard. Not sure what that means. It was only ever used to drill holes into 2x4s and 2x6s. So if you plan on using it just once or twice, it should work for you. But if you plan on using it more than that, go with dewalt.
