The Milwaukee 1/2 in. Heavy Right-Angle Drill Kit is perfect for stud and joist drilling, as well as a host of other applications. The powerful 7 Amp motor delivers 0-500 RPM and when combined with the 2-speed head, you get 0-335 RPM on the low setting and 0-750 RPM on high. The drills 1/2 in. keyed chuck handles up to a 4-5/8 in. self-feed bit head.

AnswersThin set, drywall mud and grout - Yes. Not for heavy mixtures though. Otherwise it will overheat and / or the gear head will break. Since Milwaukee tools are made in China, quality of gear heads declined significantly.

This drill has a poor chuck key design. I purchased the First one and ran a large drill bit one time with it, no strain on the unit, after that the chuck wouldn't close all the way, thought I had a fluke and went to switch it out for another one. The second drill did the same thing. Seems when you run a large drill bit the chuck apparently gets damage for one reason or another, it's a shame for the brand name as well as the cost of being over $300.00, wouldn't buy it again. I'm going to a different company for the drill.
