A: You should be able to check pin continuity and if there’s sufficient conductive material inside it. Depending on what type of ballast you have you may be able to check it also. Follow the directions that come with it and you should be set.
A: Hi there! Our Fluorescent Lighting Digital Tester does not have a brushless motor.
A: I’ve never used mine for neon. I doubt it works with neon lighting. You should be able to find the instruction manual and see if it says anything about neon.
A: no, does not work with neon lights
A: No, it is not compatible.
A: This tester should work on T12 with the exception of the pin tester function .
A: No unfortunately not as far as pin testing goes it will only test double pin tubes and it will not test ballasts that are not electronic which would be most T12 ballast. It will test for tube leakage on any tube.
A: no, this will not work on T-12 single pins
A: NO, If you want to test the pins you have to detach the tubes and insert them in the '2 pin bay' at the bottom of the unit. If you have a single pin tube you would have to test it with a Multimeter. this tester simulates a high exciter field current at the tip of the probe. If your tubes are good the applied end will glow. You can check the ballast by holding the probe to the tomb stone end and it will beep if the ballast is good. Great time saver no ladder needed. Worth the investment if you have a lot of fixtures. Good on all T12, T8,T5 FLOURESENT tubes.
