Milwaukee, always thinking. This accessory will fit any of the different, Milwaukee, fiberglass flexible fish sticks weather it be the low-med or high flex style. The 3, common button style, batteries provide an LED light, and after removing the white slotted tab, with just a slight twist you have a fairly bright light, re-install the tab after use. While the light is a slightly larger diameter than the fish stick itself and not flexible it has it's limitations for certain electrical applications. However when working by yourself, say running a wire from the attic down an interior, insulated wall, the light is a good guide, it saves time/trips to and from the attic. If you have the Milwaukee fish sticks now, this is a valuable accessory. It will save you time and frustration.

This is a nice accessory to have as an addition to the various Milwaukee fish stick sets available. It comes in a small plastic package with no instructions. It is fairly simple to use but instructions for replacing batteries and type needed would be nice. The circumference of the accessory is much wider than any of various flex levels of sticks so depending on the job used it may not be usable. For very narrow places like in gang boxes it is not suitable. If it is needed as a light source to see down a wall and it will fit it’s a great accessory to have. The Milwaukee fish sticks also glow in the dark so between the two and the application makes it easier to see what may be in the pathway. The accessory has the ability to connect at both ends. So the light can shine away or it could be reversed reflecting toward you. It also provides the flexibility to put it in between two joined fish sticks. To turn the light tip on, simply twist. When packaged, it comes with a cardboard insert to preserve the batteries during shipping until purchased. It may not hold up over time, but I intend to use this when the tip is stored to preserve the batteries. As with any type of device that twists to turn off and on, at times the light intermittently turns on and off due to poor connection. There is concern that over time this worsens as I’ve experienced with flashlights and similar devices. The tip breaks down into three parts when changing out the batteries. As mentioned, it’s fairly intuitive but would be nice to have instructions just to ensure correct procedures are used to remove batteries so as not to damage the light. In reviewing the battery changing procedure as well as determining the type of batteries used, the internal plastic casing stores the light and three batteries. The batteries are labeled L736F and there are three. These are button coin cell type batteries. Sometimes these type of batteries can be pricy. It’s an LED light and it’s small so maybe replacing batteries is not something required often but is just a note. It is usually these type of batteries and the engineering of the product that leads to the intermittent power. The casing where the batteries are stored is plastic so there is concern if it will hold up over time. The casing has a slot on the side and with a small screw driver was able to pry the battery out. The second battery was fairly easy to remove. The third battery was a little tougher to remove as the slot doesn’t recede that far and you have to dig at it and spin it to remove it. Installing them back was just as a difficult. There didn’t seem to be an indicator for orientation of the batteries so just recall how the batteries are originally oriented. It is a unique accessory and a little pricey so consider how much usage you may get out of it. It provides good lighting in circumstances where that comes in handy may pay for itself quickly. Overall it’s a nice addition to the Milwaukee fish stick set.

Superb at lighting the tip plus an accessory as you fish wires! L736F batteries, 3 of them, which is a common watch battery on websites, but not at my local HomeDepot. Not a big worry, though - these last a long time with the LED light. I keep the cardboard tab in mine to keep it from accidentally turning on in my toolbox/accessory bag. One small observation: other accessories are male-ended, screwing in to the female side of any Milwaukee fish stick. This light has two female ends - so flip your fish stick around to the male end, screw this in, then add your wire-pulling accessory to the other end (hook or bullet typically). See my short video for a quick demo.

The Milwaukee Illuminated LED Fish Stick Tip Accessory is the perfect addition to your Milwaukee ...
The Milwaukee Illuminated LED Fish Stick Tip Accessory is the perfect addition to your Milwaukee Fish Sticks. If you have ever fished wire in a dark attic space or in a wall, you often had to “fish” to find your fish stick. The ingenious LED illuminated fish stick tip will light the way making your task easier and quicker. I had a project fishing low-voltage wires in an exterior wall, meaning a stud cavity filled with batting-style insulation. In the past I could not see the tip of the fishing pole through the insulation and had to grope around, mostly unsuccessfully, to find the fishing tip. With my current project, I was off the mark by several inches, but the bright glow of the Milwaukee fish stick lighted accessory allowed me to grab the fish tip on the first try. This made the project go quickly and without the usual frustration. The Milwaukee Illuminated LED Fish Stick Tip Accessory is one of those tools that you wish you bought a long time ago. I highly recommend you add this tool to your arsenal.

A great tip for fishing cords, ropes etc in dark areas, such as an attic. I have the thirty foot fish stick package which includes a number of tips, but the lighted tip is perfect for seeing where the end of the stick is. Ideal for the attic, above the soffit, under/behind heavy objects, or anywhere getting a light on it is a challenge. It is well made, twist ON/OFF, battery is included. Another functional tool from Milwaukee tools.

I hoped it would fit the sticks I had, but it didn’t. Had to get a new set, my cheap set broke. I got the Milwaukee stick set, they are awesome. Best ones I’ve ever had.

This is AMAZING!!! There is absolutely no more pulling out flash lights to find your glow rods and no more flashlight to see where you are trying to get the rods to. Everyone at work is jealous of my new fish stick setup. MILWAUKEE RULEZ. (Except for their no bit holding 13-in-1 and 11-in-1 screwdrivers). Been through 3 of them lost my large Phillips/straight but on 1st use on, and no joke 1st use... ON 3 OF THEM. So I don't go screwdrivers but EVERYTHING ELSE in my van is Milwaukee 100%.
