Is a case included
Can it hammer with no spin?
Yes — the M18 FUEL 5/8" SDS-Plus Rotary Hammer has a Hammer-Only mode, so it can hammer without spinning the bit.
Does it come with batteries
The M18 FUEL 18V Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless 1 in. SDS-Plus Rotary Hammer (Tool-Only) is tool only and does not include batteries.
Will A SDS Plus Bit fit a SDS Max Hammer drill
SDS PLUS bits use a smaller 10mm shank while SDS MAX bits use a larger 18mm shank. The two shanks are incompatible with each other. Milwaukee however does carry an SDS MAX to PLUS adapter (48-03-3025) to address this.
Does it have a spin only mode
This unit has two modes: rotary hammer and hammer only. Like many SDS MAX units, there is no rotary (rotation) only mode. Most SDS PLUS units however have all three modes but usually have significantly less impact force as well.
