Very well designed!!
This drywall screw gun is a game changer for hanging drywall. Being cordless makes it very easy to use and it performs better than corded screw guns I have used in the past. This tool puts out 4,500 RPMs and drives in screws incredibly fast. Depth adjustment is easy and replacing the bit is also quick and easy. The screw gun has an auto start mode which works when you lock on the tool and the motor automatically starts upon contact with drywall. This gun allows for you to drive in screws at the same depth each and every time preventing you from over screwing or breaking through the outer layer of paper. A 5.0 will allow you to hang up to 64 sheets of drywall per charge. Belt clip is included for easy access on your tool belt.
The auto start function is best selling point for me. Not having to engage the trigger with each screw just makes hanging drywall so much easier. The screw gun is very well balanced and weighs only 2.5 lbs without the battery. This tool will save you a whole lot of time on the job.

Doesn't work with provided bits.
provided bits don't work for collated attachment. complete waste of money. should have trusted poor rating from Milwaukee website instead of clearly bogus rating on hd.

Just used this set to drywall a large bathroom. Router made the many vent, pipe, and outlet cutouts a pleasure especially when used with the Blind Mark product. Very fast. One bit did the whole room. The screw gun is very fast, faster than I can go to keep up.
Its limited in its ability to remove misses and screws tight against the wall.

Lightweight, Compact, & Powerful
Wow, this is my first screw gun, and it is great! The torque is really powerful, even though the screw gun is very light (even with the 18-volt battery attached) and compact/easy and comfortable to hold. I have long fingers for a female, but I've noticed some other power tools are not as comfortable for a woman to grip. This one is just fine for me (and would be for my husband as well). I love the Milwaukee durability and quality, and it's a plus that 2 batteries and the charger are included with the kit. The batteries last longer since the power only engages when the gun senses pressure with the Auto Start feature. It's going to get a lot of use with all of our home renovation projects.

It's actualy fun
Another home run by Milwaukee and their M18™ and M12™ product lines. This drywall gun is actually fun to use. So many features but my favorite is the auto start mode. The screw depth adjustment feature is spot on. Consistency that provides better production and more professional results. The drywall gun is very comfortable in your hand. Not bulky. Not heavy. Easy bit change. The list of positives goes on and on. I have several tools from Milwaukee's M18 and M12 product line and every one has performed flawlessly.

Fast and efficient
My husband tested this screw gun this week on a basement window installation project. This particular kit comes with 2 batteries and one charger, as part of the M18 system of products. Based on his opinion, the gun is a nice weight, well balanced while using with a great auto start feature which allows for a longer run time overall. The gun starts to run when contact is made and the dry wall depth adjustment is great as it stops the screws from countersinking. The belt clip is a nice feature, along with the zippered case contractor bag. The tool has a 5 year warranty, with the batteries having 3 year warranties. Overall, this tool works much faster and is more convenient than a corded gun. He highly recommends this tool over other similar products he has used over the years.

Well Designed
This screw gun is extremely well designed and functions beautifully. It's comfortable to hold, remarkably quiet and packs a ton of power. I'm a DIYer who has totally remodeled two bathrooms, hanging plenty of drywall and Durock in the process. It pains me to realize how much more efficient that could have been with this tool as opposed to a standard drill/driver. This screw gun is a tremendous improvement. I particularly like the auto start feature & the ability to adjust how deep it drives the screw. I've found that it's easy to use, both holding onto the handle or to the back of the gun. As for power, the screw is sunk almost as soon as you push down and engage the motor, so your productivity is limited only by how fast you can load another screw.
As with all M18 products, this gun is very well made and has excellent power and battery life. I'm sure it's made with pros in mind, but if you're a DIYer who hangs much drywall, you definitely won't regret this investment!

Great for home users
This is a light, powerful and efficient drywall screw gun. The 5AH 18V batteries are small which is a great thing. At first there were a few things that were confusing: (1) control switch, (2) depth adjuster and auto start engagement. The instruction manual uses language that is not clear as to how to perform these features. After getting use to these operations, everything is fine. Once the depth is set properly, the success rate of getting screws to stop at exactly the right place is very high. For me, the most important factor in using a screw gun is the ability to stop the screw before it breaks to skin of the sheetrock but is countersunk. Once set up, this gun does that very well.
The battery charge time is low which I like. The charger is easy to use. I like the charge level indicator on the battery. The motor is very powerful. The drywall screw goes in so fast I did not even know it had happened on the first few. The way the nose cone is designed I do have trouble seeing that I have placed the Philips bit onto the drywall screw correctly which is crucial. If you are not lined up properly the screw does not go in and sit properly. I find the removal of a screw cumbersome. The instructions state I should remove the nose cone, put gun in reverse mode then remove the screw. This is a slow process. Overall this is a wonderful tool for putting up lots of drywall. Once in the groove, you can put a screw in every 3 seconds.
It came with 2 batteries, battery charger and a great case.
