Great Tool but One-Key not great
Outstanding tool, love everything about, but with that being said the ONE-KEY feature is lacking. This can not prevent theft because unless criminal has the Milwaukee app it won't track where the tool is. the technology is lacking

This tool should have been in my tool box long ago
Once you use a rotary hammer you will never go back to a hammer drill ever. Once you use a Milwaukee cordless rotary hammer you will be hard-pressed to switch to another. The Milwaukee rotary hammer model 2915-20 is a dream to operate and will put holes in concrete fast and clean even after hitting aggregate. This rotary hammer weighs in at 8 ½ lbs. (less battery) is slightly under 14 inches long and 10 inches tall. The tool runs on any of the Milwaukee 18v batteries, but the 6.0-amp is recommended. The unit only takes SDS or SDS plus bits (slotted drive shaft) but if you want to run the round shank bits you can get the adaptor kit 48-66-1370 which is an SDS shaft on an std. three-jaw, keyed chuck. The function type selector switch is easily viewed and operated. There are three different function types and one operation to select from. Functions are Drill only, hammer only (chisels), and hammer drill. The one operation selection is to allow free rotation of the chisel bit so you can match it up with the work. The side handle rotation is a simple twist of the handle to loosen, rotate to where you want it, and then twist again to tighten back up. The depth rod can be adjusted with your thumb by depressing a lever. I originally thought that this may be a little flimsy, but it works fine and holds tight. The trigger is a variable speed, and the control switch not only is for forward and reverse but if placed in the middle can be used to lock the trigger. Installing the SDS bit is simple, insert and rotate until it locks. To remove pull the collar rearward and out it comes. For testing, I ran it on my 4.0-amp battery, and it worked perfectly fine. I drilled ten, ½” round holes in concrete 3 inches deep and it still had more battery to go. In comparison, I used my corded DW5010 and drilled only one hole and that was enough of that. With the corded hammer drill, you get a lot of shock to the wrist and elbow, and you need to feel for the right “bounce” to get it to drill. If you hit a rock the bit wanted to skip to the side and now you have an oblong hole that may or may not work with the anchor. In comparison, the Milwaukee rotary hammer has AVS bellows in the handle that greatly reduces the shock you get when operating the unit. I could use the Milwaukee one-handed with no issues, it cut through the concrete fast and clean even through rocks with no side skipping or oblong hole. The tool also has an auto-stop function if it senses a bind like hitting rebar, I was not able to validate this function in my test. The unit also has Milwaukee “one key” function. I installed the One Key and other than registering the device on my phone it did nothing for me, but I’m not real tech-savvy either. A DIY’er that is more into software and apps would most likely think that the One key is an advantage as you can track and disable or enable your tools with it. If I was a contractor I could see it being a great help. There are multiple YOUTUBE on how to set up One key, recommend you watch them prior to installing yourself. I found this unit to be of good quality and it operated flawlessly, cutting through concrete like it was butter. The ease of operation allows any novice to use the tool with confidence and minimal effort. The tool is made in China, recommended.

    Quick holes
I use this hammer drill for 1/4” holes in concrete. I am impressed how well it performed. It hammers at a faster rate than my old drill. So the holes are completed faster.

    Rotary Hammer Drill
This is an exelent hammer drill, I have drilled 6 holes into a rock 10" deep so i can drive in tapered pins to split the rock using a 3/8" x 12" carbide tipped drill. The hammer drill did all six holes without stopping to rest. I got the tool without a battery as I already had 5.0 Batteries. The batteries still had 3 lights left on it. I very highly recomend this tool.

    Great Hammer Drill
I now have three hammer drills counting this one and fairly regularly use another. I own a big 10 amp HF one that would be the most comparable to this. I also have a much smaller (but still SDS) Skil cordless hammer drill. It is only really useful for tapcons. But it is much smaller and lighter so it is useful if you just need to drill little holes for tapcons. To test this out I poked a 1 inch diameter hole in an old 1 inch thick paver. It did that in less than a minute. Like my HF, the weight of the hammer drill is enough to make the hole, no pushing is necessary. I got it as "tool only" since I already have M18 chargers and batteries. I was a bit surprised, however, that it didn't come with a carry bag like my other M18 tools. It came with a well designed depth stop but that is it. I think it will be my favorite hammer drill. The HF gets grease on me when I insert bits and needs a cord.

    powerful SDS+ hammer drill
This is a powerful and easily portable SDS+ hammer drill. I have used quite a few of these type drills and this one is the best of the few I have used. The power is definitely there for easy penetration in concrete or rock, and the battery operation makes this real easy to cart around without need for a long extension cord. The documentation says it should do about 50 holes on a charge, but of course it makes a difference how big of a hole you are drilling, and in what sort of aggregate its being used in. It works great and I tested it on my 4000lb shop concrete floor and I could have easily gone the 4 inches through it in using a 1/2 inch bit, in about a minute. I am very very happy with this drill and will definitely be recommending it highly!

    Fast and Powerful
No cord, no generator, no drop cords, but this is the ticket. Variable speed trigger. Very smooth operation. Power to get it done quickly. With the AVS, it's more comfortable to use. It does make a difference. There are diagrams in the manual giving examples of how much pressure should be used during operation. This tool is like any other. Let the tool do the work. The depth stop is quick and easy to adjust, having and using this saves a ton of time, not having to stop and check over and over. Fast, yes it's fast. Even just using the drill function only it's fast and smooth. Using the Milwaukee bits, it's easy to accurately start a hole and quickly finish it. Speed and comfort is nice, but the anticipation and danger of hitting some rebar or other obstructions is taken care of with the AUTOSTOP feature detects kickback and stops the tool, preventing it from twisting too much in your hands. The side handle is adjusted by simply twisting the grip to loosen and twisting in the opposite direction to tighten. This one also has the ONE KEY system, which allows you to track and manage your tool. It's a great system. Take time to use it. If you already know how, then you know how good it is to have it. This tool uses the ever growing M18 battery system to power it. It's an easy and comfortable tool to use, you appreciate it greatly. Read the manual and understand it, so you can get the best performance and use out of it. This is a very nice rotary hammer. Enjoy!

    Cordless makes All The Difference!
I currently use a corded rotary hammer with a keyed chuck. Keeping the drill bet tight has been impossible and I have destroyed the spline on both the chuck and the key trying to do so. This hammer drill from Milwaukee has an SDS bit holder that holds the bit securely and doesn't require repeated tightening. Being one of Milwaukee's M18 fuel powered tools means I can use one of my existing batteries on a wide assortment of tools. The tool has power to spare for quick drilling into concrete and is easy to control with the adjustable side handle. The depth gage rod helps maintain hole depth for better accuracy. I would recommend this tool to anyone needing a powerful rotary hammer.
