You should contact milwaukee warranty to fix the issue. They supply the cost of the shipping just need to print the label. All the labor and parts should be included. Thats why you have to 5 year warranty. Just in case issues like this happen. Mine had a trigger issue and they repaired it and I got it back in about 3 weeks. Didn't cost me anything.

I cannot understand the question. Use spell check or a translator and ask again.

If I cannot find my reciept, is there a way to determine if im am still under limited warranty

Asked by StopAndGo November 19, 2020

You need to let the drill heat up. Let it Free spin before using.

How much inch lbs of torque is it?

Asked by Driley October 24, 2020

450 inch-pounds of sustained torque. This is NOT the same as peak torque, which is the measurement given for standard impact drivers.

Does this comes with a box

Asked by Donalddd September 21, 2020

It depends if you buy the bare tool it does not come with a carry box or charger or battery. If you purchase a kit that comes with the tool battery or batteries and charger it will come with a bag to store the tool and charger when not used.

Does this suitable for rock welding

Asked by Venkateswara September 21, 2020

Mine quit after 3 months of daily use, no more torque.

Is there a protective boot for M18 2760-20? Thanks.

Sorry they do not make a protective cover for that model

Can you replace the head where the driver goes in,mine is sloppy

Asked by Keith July 26, 2020

I don’t know, that’s probably a question for Milwaukee.

Asked by Phillip July 17, 2020

I have both of these drivers and they are both great. The Surge works differently than most impact drivers. It uses hydraulic surges to turn the driver, where the 2853 uses a mechanical hammer. The peak torque in the 2853 occurs almost instantaneously as the hammer strikes the anvil, where the torque in the Surge lasts for a longer period as the hydraulic pressure rises and falls. So, per each "impact", the Surge doesn't turn as hard, but it turns longer - hence the need for less torque. The 2853 is a monster compared to the Surge. However, I use my Surge for over 95% of my impact driving needs. If the lower sound is not a consideration, the lower stress on your hand and wrist is another advantage for the Surge. I have never found a lag screw or bolt that the Surge can't tighten, but it may take it a little longer.

can i drill some 1/4 - 6" SDS connector screws into hard wood with this Surge driver?

Asked by CrpenterInDaMkin June 27, 2020

Yes, the surge impact driver will drive 6" SDS screws on #3. I personally use the surge for deck screws and metal roofing screws and a standard fuel (not surge) to drive in large SDS screws, Ledger Loks, etc. because the non surge has more torque for driving larger screws.

I’m a Heavy Equipment Mechanic and I have used this gun for everything from paving equipment to lawn equipment. But the most impressive thing I’ve done is rebuild my tool storage building trusses and metal roof. This gun did the whole job on one single battery! It did 83 #10x3” screws in Hi-Bor treated pine, and 137 #10x2-3/4” self-tapping roofing screws thru double 26ga steel into Hi-Bor treated pine purlins, and I still had 1 bar left on the battery!!! This gun is extremely efficient, powerful, well balanced, and lightweight. As someone who suffered from Carpal Tunnel, the weight/balance, as well as the low impact force on my hands, is a huge benefit. To say I’m Impressed and Satisfied is an understatement!!!!!

Hate the bit holder! This is the best drill that I have, but the one-bit bit holder forces me to remove a star. Milwaukee had a proven two-bit bit holder that worked, but decided to not to use it so I took the two-bit bit holder that I purchased almost nine years ago off of my old drill and put it on this one. This was an unforced error by Milwaukee. I need to switch between PH-2, PH-3 and a slotted bits regularly so I need a bit holder that can hold at least two bits. Why Milwaukee? Why? As for the drill itself, it is the same weight as the brushed drill, but much more powerful. The variable speed selector is nice. The #2 setting is what I use the majority of the time. The protective plastic shielding on the face is nice and is a nice improvement over the four thin plastic strips that were used on my old brushed drill.

The GOAT of all impact drivers
This impact driver blows away every other impact I own and use. I have another non-surge Milwaukee Fuel 1/4” impact driver. It is powerful but LOUD. After using the Surge impact for a few weeks now, I notice I have more control and less vibration during my drives with the Surge. Okay, it might be slightly less fast than my other driver, but marginally and I would gladly trade that for the increased control and much less noise!! I’m a huge fan and look forward to years of hard work with my contracting business.

Don’t let the torque numbers fool you
In my opinion these are the best choice for drivers for my business. These drivers will run circles around most impacts. For #10 and #8 screws it can drive them faster than almost any impact. It may get slower than impacts when doing lags and larger fasteners. Maybe. It’s only as loud as a drill most of the time and there’s less reactive torque felt than an impact. If you work in occupied spaces, this type of driver is more efficient than a clutched drill or screwdriver in my opinion and is definitely much more quiet than an impact. Our installers and framers are very impressed. I’ve become a fan.

My first time using the Milwaukee brand.
I work in the RV industry and I am very pleased with this tool's performance, it makes my work easier and I am more productive. I like the fact that I can chose the torque that is more appropriate for what I do. I am not to crazy about the hammering feature, I could live without it.

Milwaukee is the only tool I will pay for
I use all of these tools on a daily basis. It’s hard for me to let others handle them but when I do they normally want to buy one for themselves

Should have bought it sooner!
I’m a professional-grade DIY. I own (2) M12 Milwauke FUEL impact drivers and the latest M18 non-SURGE M18 Milwaukee One-Key FUEL impact driver. I bought it mainly for the advertised quietness, but much to my suprise, that isn’t the best feature of this impact driver—it’s the control that it gives you when driving things. I can’t tell you how many times I’d over-drive hardware into wood with my traditional Milwaukee FUEL impact drivers. The analogy is it’s like the difference between a two stroke and a Tubo-Diesel.
Im CS and this is my favorite drill on the citadel
This is the best driver I have ever used. So quiet and such high precision for an impact driver. I don’t think I’ll ever go without a surge in the future.
