Ideal for durability and strength, the Mueller Streamline 3/4 in. x 60 in. Copper Type L Pipe is perfect for residential services. Used for thicker wall tube. It is rigid and makes a neater installation. The pipe is maintenance free.
Constructed of durable Type L copper
Corrosion resistant
Will not burn or support combustion
Maintenance free
Most commonly used material for residential water supply lines
The Mueller Streamline 3/4" X 5' copper type L pipe has a thicker wall and lasts longer than type M pipe. It's the best choice for fresh water system pressures. I used the pipe to suport the whole house water filter I installed before the water softener to filter out any particles from the well first.

The only grade of copper to use
This L copper is the only logical choice because it is thick enough to last a long time. Any home that uses thinner copper is in for some expensive repairs in the not too distant future. The thinner copper shold've been outlawed years ago!! And those buiders of new homes who even bother to use copper, more than likely use the thinner variety.Home building has gone to the racketeers as far back as the mid seventies. I know because I started working for them in '74 straight out of the navy. The company owners from Rockville, Md would drive up in their ultra luxurious Mercedes Benz to inspect the project!! All that mattered was speed!! Very little,if any, professionalism or pride in workmanship. If new home buyers could see what's inside of the walls and ceilings, or in their attic they would freak out. The compressed wood and wood panelling doesn't just burn, when ignited, it produces toxic and very flammable fumes which more than likely will explode! Everything in new houses is plastic with fancy names like virgin vynil. The window frames are plastic, the tubs and sinks are plastic, the siding is plastic, as well as the water and drain lines. The interior doors and closet doors are basically made of cardboard, so stop and think how quickly all of that will burn violently!! Try enhaling the fumes from all of that burning plastic in the event of a fire and see if you last long enough to burn alive!! Good luck getting out of these houses if there's a fire!! Never mind that they have very little pleasing architecture to them at all!! i've seen better looking MATTEL toy houses!! Even in the case of a relatively small fire, there's very little to salvage or rebuild!!If you're wondering why your home insurance costs so much consider what these insurance companies have to deal with!!
