Product Details

Conceal your irrigation components and protect against damage with the 10 in. Round Valve Box and Cover. Built for durability with structural reinforcing ribs, this valve box and lid stands up to the elements, pedestrian traffic, lawn care equipment, and deflects potential vandalism. The round black valve box includes a pipe hole for irrigation pipe connections. The overlapping green irrigation control valve (ICV) cover blocks dirt and debris from entering the valve box. The cover has two finger holes to easily twist open and remove lid for maintenance. Box is made of polypropylene (PP) using 100% recycled material and cover is made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) using a combination of virgin and recycled material. Both the box and cover are treated with UV inhibitors to prevent fading and cracking due to sun exposure. Q:Will this cover an offset 45 degree angle in a sewer line over a cleanout?

Answer This Question

A:  The NDS 10" Valve Box/Cover could be used as an access point for a 4" cleanout, for a 10" cleanout , NDS recommends the 10" Box/Cover.

    A:  You would need to provide more info about sizing for the situation. Depending on the size of the pipe and length it could work. If something is too big a rectangular ground utility cover would be better.

          A:  There is no screw. You can drill into the side near the top and put your own screw if you wish. This is used instead of a rectangular box such as when access is needed to a single valve. When the ad says box, it is referring to the round black part.

              Used this to replace an old bucket the prior owner had used as a cover for a curb side water shut off in a rural area. It would have been too shallow but the lower casing around the pipe was still intact. Looks nice and the quarter turn to remove the nice solid lid works great.

              Blocks critters & works in concrete
              With the addition of hardware cloth underneath and around the pipes, keeps gophers and voles from filling the box with dirt from their tunneling. Also works in concrete to maintain access to shutoff valves.                 These things do just what they say they will do
                We use these for in ground electric box tie ins .For a septic system pump station . Holds all the wires in one place very well. Yes my electrician know all about it . And use's them him self

                Perfect size, strong 10" valve box.
                I needed a smaller valve box next to my larger one and found this 10" valve box to be the ticket! Was very easy to install and feels very strong. I can stand on it and it takes my weight without any problems. Home Depot had this valve box for a great price. Much lower then other stores were selling it for. Their personnel showed me where they were located and I was out of the store to get back to my project quickly. Thanks to Home Depot for stocking this item!

                Works great
                Bought these to place my sprinkler and plant valves in for my yard recently. I also used a box for a valve to drain my system for the winter and another box for an in-line filter for the sprinkling system. All very functional and easy to cut with a hacksaw if needed. I used empty plastic 5-quart ice cream containers to raise the boxes when needed or plug up the slots for pvc water lines (to keep out rocks and soil). I also used a hole saw to connect pvc pipe for sprinkler wire connections to the valves and timer. We placed bark and pavers over the boxes to hide them.
