The 6 in. PVC Elbow makes a 90° turn in 6 in. sewer and drain (S&D) pipe runs. The 90° Ell also connects to select drainage products compatible with 6 in. S&D connections such as drainage grates and pop-up emitters. The drain fitting is made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) for Hub X Hub solvent-weld connections. Meets applicable ASTM standards. For use in non-pressurized underground sewer and drainage applications; maximum working pressure of 5 psi. This elbow is used to make a change in direction in the pipeline and connects two pipes of the same type and diameter size.       A:  Yes, there is a grate available for a 4"-90 deg elbow. You will want a 4 inch round grate and most common is part #13 from the NDS website as seen below in the link.         Q:what are the inside and outside dimensions of elbow? I need elbow to fit over 4-inch pvc pipe, so I guess I need inside diameter of 4 1/2 inch.

        A:  The inside dimension of the fitting is 4.24". This is designed to fit over a 4" Sewer and drain pipe(SDR 35).

          A:  This will snugly fit over the 4-inch PVC pipe just like assembling lego pieces. 4 1/2 inch diameter would be too big for your 4-inch pipe, you wouldn't want that.
