Connect 4 in. Sewer and Drain (S&D) pipe to 6 in. S&D pipe with the PVC S&D Increaser/Reducer Coupling. The coupler also connects 4 in. S&D pipe to select drainage products compatible with 6 in. S&D connections such as pop-up emitters, as well as 6 in. S&D pipe to select drainage products compatible with 4 in. S&D connections such as channel drain outlets and pop-up emitters. This coupling connects two different pipe diameters of S&D pipe. The S&D Increaser/Reducer Coupling is made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and makes a Hub X Hub solvent-weld connection. Meets applicable ASTM standards. For use in non-pressurized underground sewer and drainage applications; maximum working pressure of 5 psi.   • Connects 4 in. Sewer & Drain (S&D) pipe to 6 in. S&D pipe in non-pressurized drainage and sewer piping systems
  • Connects 4 in. or 6 in. S&D pipe to select drainage products such as channel drain outlets and pop-up emitters

  • As part of a complete drainage system, this PVC coupling connects two S&D pipes of different sizes together, or connects drainage product to pipe to convey excess water for proper release downstream
  • Attach 4 in. S&D pipe to one end of fitting and 6 in. S&D pipe to the other end; also connects 4 in. S&D pipe to drainage products that fit 6 in. S&D connections or 6 in. S&D pipe to parts that fit 4 in. S&D connections solvent weld to PVC components
  • Coupling made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) using a combination of virgin and recycled content treated with UV inhibitors to prevent fading and cracking. N/A

Q:What is the outside dimension of the 6" hub? I need to connect to a 9" OD/7 3/4" ID cast iron pipe.

Answer This Question

A:  The I.D. of the 6" end is 6.31" and the ID of the 4" end is 4.25". The approximate thickness of the pipe is 0.25" so OD is approximately 6.81" for the 6" end +/-.

    A:  This adapter will fit the 9" drainage grate(made to fit 6" pipe and fittings, or hub connection). It will also fit to 4" triple wall pipe.
