These clips are not designed to work with any other system except NewTechWood US33 starter boards. While you are welcome to try to accommodate them to your deck board of choice, please keep this in mind. If you would like a sample clip to test, please reach out via our contact page here: http://www.newtechwood.com/contact/.

How do you attach the last board if you have to rip cut it and have no grooved edge for the fasteners?
Asked by: Charlie
See the installation video on NewTechWood's website, but here's the summary: If your decking has the hollow tubes, you can't rip it. You'll have order and rip a solid board. The "Columbus"-series solid boards have a groove on the bottom that you can clip into. Not sure whether Home Depot offers those boards, or the clips. The "Cortes"-series solid boards are grooved on one end and solid on the other. You'd rip the solid side and then top-nail that final board. If you don't want your fasteners to be visible, use the Columbus-series board with the groove on the bottom.
