Questions & Answers

Q:What is gap between boards? One answer says 7/16" others say 1/4". Please be clear about your answers because when you put 50 boards down, 50/16ths is over 3" difference.

A:  The T sets the spacing, no need to anything more.

        Answer This Question

A:  Yes, but you'll need to replace the screws with a Pro-Twist, trim head, square drive. #6 x 1 5/8". This drills into 16 ga. metal fairly easily.

A:  Our clip can be used, but you would need a self-tapping screw which we do not supply to go into the metal.

Q:Does this allow for easy replacement of decking board or do you have to remove entire deck to replace one board like other systems?

            Answer This Question

A:  Yes it makes it very easy to replace any boards just take both sides lose and wiggle board to remove

            by|Aug 13, 2022

A:  Sorry for the late reply. No, this won’t be easy to deal with to replace just one board. They are designed to lock in boards one by one. If you’re careful, you can loosen all the strategic fasteners downstream and play the sliding game to maneuver boards and get to the one you want to replace… but no easy way.

Worked well and look great. These screws are small so they go between the board gaps so they are slightly fragile and prone to stripping. Be careful and seat your bit right and anyone used to working with screws and carpentry should have only a few go bad.

                  Everything seems fine
Contrary the other comments, i ordered 3 boxes of this clip and every box has 75 TC2 plastic clips and 15 TC1 locking clips as well as screws and bits. Would be better if the would have included 2-3 starting clips too which is difficult to supply. Company itself have been very helpful on the phone to send some extra lock clips as well as samples.
