Can this be used under a floating ( no screws through liner) deck on a second story to waterproof below it? Assuming plenty of slope for run off. The deck will be covered and no UV on the liner.
We cannot recommend or guarantee this product outside its intended use of being installed as a shower pan liner. There is no testing for your application.
What is the shining seal (like a sunburst) showing around the drain that looks like it is adhered to the liner ? And when is this installed? It is not addressed in the videos or the installation instructions.

Our Oatey® shower liner (30 MIL PVC, 40 MIL PVC and 40 MIL CPE) is only approved for use as a waterproof membrane within the footprint of a shower.

Can you tile directly to this product?
No, you would need to use a mortar on the liner then tile.
Can this be used on the ceiling and wall of the shower instead of using Hardie backer? I would like to add tile on it.

Why should you not put felt paper on the pre pour?
Petroleum based products can compromise the integrity of the liner.
