Quadtro 2 in. Copper Sweat Connection Washing Machine Outlet Box with Water Hammer Arresters

I do not have any black ABS piping in my home, most homes use white PVC drain plumbing and either copper or PEX or a combination of both for hot and cold water lines. That said, I use Oatey PVC cement with the purple cleaner. Clean both pieces of pipe that are to be connected after test fitting with the purple cleaner. Then in a few seconds when the purple is dry, apply generously the PVC cement and quickly put them together orienting them the way you want them. All done.

Yes - this is exactly how mine was installed. There is a 2nd drain opening in the side opposite the 2 water valve openings that can be opened by knocking out a plastic disc. The drain opening between valves is plugged by the pressure test stopper, and the box is mounted with the valve openings at the top.

No unfortunately the mounting brackets have to be anchored to the face of the stud in front of the box.

You will need to shut your water supply off to each valve in order to service them. We recommend you reach out to Oatey direct for further troubleshooting @ 1-800-203-1155. These valves do split in half from the top and can be serviced without cutting into the drywall, however, this is only the case if the valves are 2012 or newer, otherwise, the thread patterns won't match up and you will need to swap out the complete valve.

There are replacement valves for this Quadtro Washing Machine Outlet Box. If your box is older than from year 2012, then you will need to replace the entire valve at the connection point inside the wall under the box. The valve and thread pattern changed after that year. If the valve is newer than that, the valve does split in half (there is a seam in the valve above the boxes flood level rim). You could use the 1/2" threaded nipple and make your own adapter.
