Product Overview

This 250-Watt equivalent high lumen LED light bulb is designed to retrofit existing wall pack fixtures to energy efficient LED lighting, a much lower cost alternative than upgrading wall packs to integrated LED wall packs. Using only 50-Watt of energy, these lamps produce 7500 Lumens. Equipped with a swivel base and rated for use in enclosed fixtures ensures compatibility with your existing wall pack fixtures. Designed for horizontal installation, the swivel base allows you to choose which angle the light shines out of the wall pack fixture. Rated to last for 50,000-hours means you won't have to think about replacing these bulbs any time soon.

This LED light bulb is very bright (7500 lumens). The power consumption is only 50-watts. The light bulb is to be used in existing wall pack fixtures. It is an alternative to upgrading wall packs to integrated LED wall packs. It can be used in enclosed fixtures, and the base angle can be adjusted. Because it is LED, it has a long life. An E39 base adaptor is included. All components are of very high quality. I am confident that the light bulb will last well over the estimated 50000 hour life.

The bulb has a large surface area with 360 LED chips. This produces around 7,500 Lumens of light. It uses 50 Watts of electricity. This is 1/2amp on a 120 volt circuit. Leaving the bulb on for 3 hours per day will cost about $6 per year to run. Do not use a light dimmer with this bulb. It can be used with normal 110 volt up to 277 volt systems. It came with an adapter for E39 fixtures that are common in higher voltage systems. Do not use in conditions at or below -4 degrees Fahrenheit (-20 degrees C). The light is suitable for Damp (I assume not under water) locations. The bulb does generate heat. In a 70 degree room, the surface temperature of the illuminating surface reached and stayed steady at slightly over 150 degrees. Because of this, I would suggest that the bulb is not completely enclosed in a fixture but has a chance at breeze over the radiator fins on the back of the light. As I was examining the light bulb, if found that the electrical, spiral silver ring on the base was able to rotate like it was not properly secured. The Screw base adapter E39 would not tighten to the light as the spiral ring was slipping. I finally found that this was a FEATURE not a PROBLEM. I believe that as you turn the blub in a clockwise direction, the silver, spiral base is designed to turn for nearly a complete 360 degree turn until it hits a stop in the mechanism. Continued turning of the bulb will tighten the bulb into the receptacle. When fully tight, the bulb can be rotated in the opposite direction until the surface reaches the desired orientation (say flat or at an angle) that will illuminate the area of interest. I measured the depth of the E39 converter and the plug portion of the light and there is sufficient length in the plug portion of the light to tighten into the contacts of the converter and compress them as the converter tightened against the white plastic on the bulb. I am planning to use the light in an outdoor environment. Most of my waterproof fixtures do not fit the light bulb as there is not enough narrow space above the silver spiral mounting cylinder of the outdoor fixture to allow the bottom button of the bulb to touch the power point in the plug. I will have to cut my outdoor fixture down in length so the connector touches the power point inside of the fixture plug as the edge of the fixture contacts the bulb cover. I am planning to put the fixture under a roof edge so that rain does not fall on the exterior of the bulb. We installed the bulb as planned and we found over 4 times the light of a 100 watt flood light for the rating of 250 watt equivalency. The documentation talks about Radio Frequency interference generation. With one of my stronger radio stations, this became barely audible to significant beginning at 3 feet away from the light. The bulb has a 3 year warranty but has a lifespan of 45.6 years at 3 hours use each day.

Such a great bulb. Bright as the sun and built like a tank. Really nice cast aluminum body with a sturdy wather resistant polycarbonate lense covering the LED's. The whole unit feel like quality. Heat dissapating fins cover thebackside to give the LED's cooling. This thing is bright! My phone cant capture the true brightness of it. Nice color tempature, not too cold. COmes with an adaptor for the larger bulb base. Quality product that will do some serious lighting.

This is a very bright LED light bulb. It puts out a very smooth uniform field of light. The color temperature is a cool white with a slightly blueish tint. I weighed the light bulb on a scale and it weighs in at 1-1/2 pounds. The cooling fins are metallic. I tested the all of the metallic parts of the light bulb with a magnet and they were not attracted to the magnetic. I measured the power used with my power meter and it measured just under 50 watts on a 120 volt circuit. Overall a very bright light!

I like that it doesn't have a fan like most enclosure rated bulbs I have seen. With it's ratchet base it will adjust to the correct position in most fixtures I would install it in. At around $45.00 for this bulb and 240 watts less usage. I installed the bulb, just to see the light output in my garage and was happy to see it is bright enough. This bulb is rated for 50,000hrs it should more than pay for its self just in replacement cost alone.

This light is a bit too bright. If you have a long walkway or porch it would be perfect and light up the whole walkway/porch. It is just a bit too bright for me. When I connected it to an outdoor porch light it lit up the whole porch and the neighbors driveway and half their yard. It has a bright white light and uses low wattage so as to not run up electric bill for the amount of light it creates.

I was amazed at the brightness of this lamp. I used this on the outside of my church gym. The original lamp was a 175 watt metal halide. I removed the ballast and capacitor and wired the mogul base via the photo cell. (The unit comes with a mogul base to standard bulb base adapter. The lamp is a mogul screw base. This lamp is 7000 lumens and is very bright. The parking lot in that area is very bright at night. I will be changing other outdoor lamps with this type.

Very impressed with the lumination this fixture provides. I have mounted the unit on a 1"x2" board attached to the side of my tool holder providing extra great lighting for detailed work requiring extra light. One of the features making this light SUPER is the ability to tilt providing directed light. Using this unit in a ceiling fixture is also extra special because it is able to be directed to a particular part of the room where light is needed most.
