Kill and prevent weeds and grasses with Ortho GroundClear Year Long Vegetation Killer2. This weed control product kills weeds, grasses and existing vegetation, and prevents regrowth for up to 1 year. The fast-acting formula starts working immediately and is rainproof in 1 hour. Use this weed and grass killer where no plant growth is wanted for at least a year on driveways, sidewalks, fence lines, paver patios, walkways, gravel areas, parking areas and other hardscapes. This product is a concentrate and must be diluted with water before applying. To use, add 24 fl. oz. of Ortho GroundClear Year Long Vegetation Killer2 per 1 gallon of water in a tank sprayer to treat up to 300 sq. ft. Apply to bare ground or when weeds are actively growing and temperatures are above 60°F. Do not use before planting lawns, fruits, vegetables or other plants because the product remains active in the soil for up to one year. Do not enter or allow others to enter treated areas until sprays have dried. 2 gal. of Ortho GroundClear Year Long Vegetation Killer2 makes approximately 10.67 gallons of prepared solution.

What is the self life of unused Grounf Clear product.

The shelf life of Ortho GroundClear Year Long Vegetation Killer2 Concentrate is different depending on if you are storing unused, undiluted product or are storing solution that you have mixed with water but not applied. Regarding diluted product, We recommend NOT storing diluted spray for any period of time. If you must store diluted product, you should not keep it for more then 2 weeks. This is because of impurities in tap water that can cause the product to breakdown. It is also a health and safety concern (It is easy to mislabel or forget what is mixed and stored in a sprayer or other container). Undiluted Ortho herbicides have a minimum shelf life of 3 years when properly stored, but will often last longer. After 3 years, products may gradually lose their effectiveness. We recommend you use up products even if you've had them for over 3-4 years. Products do not become more hazardous as they age.
