About This Product

PC-7 is the tough job epoxy. This paste epoxy was formulated for maximum bonding power. When mixed, components A (grey) and B (black) reacts to form a bond of tremendous strength. PC-7 formulation provides extended working time, for large and critical jobs, which allow the user to reposition work or make changes. High "wet grab" or tack of PC-7 Paste Epoxy makes overhead and sidewall work easy without drip or sag. PC-7 demonstrates excellent chemical resistance to mild acids, caustics, detergents, gasoline, fuel oil, salt, and fresh water. Approximately equal amounts of A and B by volume; variations of either component as high as 20 percent will not affect the bond strength. When desirable, one part of A to two parts B may be used to increase elasticity (expansion joints, etc.). In cold or cool temperatures, place PC-7 container near heat prior to using. PC-7 mixes and spreads easier at 80 degree F than at 40 degree F. Any clean smooth flat surface is an excellent surface for mixing and working. A small putty knife or flexible artist spatula are great tools for mixing and applying PC-7. Use with as adhesive: wood, metal (all types), glass, brick, block, rubber, concrete, stone, slate, fiberglass, tile, and more in any and all combinations; as sealant: oil, gas, water tanks, cellar cracks, pressure tanks, and plumbing leaks; as a filler: holes, castings, patterns, molds, voids, welds, steering wheels and much more.

Q:Is this a good product to use for repairing cracks and large dents on a concrete basketball court? Will it hold up to the heavy foot traffic? How thin can it be applied without peeling or chipping?

Answer This Question

A:  PC-7 can be used to fill cracks and dents in concrete. It will wear well with foot traffic. Use alcohol or acetone on tool or gloved fingertips to help spread and feather out PC-7 very thinly.

Q:How thick a layer can be applied at once? Does it need to fully cure before applying a second layer? Temp will be around 50F.

      Answer This Question

A:  PC-7 can be applied thick or thin. There isn't a limit how thick it is applied. PC-7 can be applied to PC-7 any time during or after curing. At 50F PC-7 takes twice as long to cure than at 65F.

Excellent pasty consistency that made filling a crack in stone very easy without having to worry about drips (liquid epoxies) while still being 'wet' enough to stick to everything it touches (putties)

Works great:). Happy with the outcome.
I installed a granite countertop myself and used PC-7 for the seams. First time I ever put in granite. I am just a homeowner and knrew not to expect professional results on the seams, but this stuff worked great on a mainly black countertop. The two parts are black and light gray and it is easy to tell when it is mixed well as the whole mixture turns dark gray. I used a very small amount of black paint tinting given to me by my local small town hardware store and the seams turned out pretty good and actually probably better than some professional installs I have seen. I am very happy with the purchase. I didn't feel comfortable trying a 5 minute epoxy and I am glad I had the extra working time PC-7 provides. And after researching quite a bit, the price/value excellent. If you look at the picture, pay no attention to the duct tape on the hole in the window....my wife says she was mowing grass and "accidentally" hit a rock and really wasn't trying to take me out :). Using PC-7 helped me have a complete, decent looking granite countertop for a total price of less than $800.

            This product performed perfectly.
I had purchased a used pool table that had a severe chip on one side of the slate. PC7 worked great. Adhered beautifully and sanded smoothly.

            Good Stuff!
I recently renovated a 30 year old pool that had a fiberglass interior. When we removed the old fiberglass, the aluminum sandwich wall panels and concrete bottom had a lot of long term water damage. PC-7 was the ticket. I used 32 pounds to patch the wall panels and the bottom. It takes a little practice to learn how to work with it. It is rock solid once it hardens. I advise making sure you don't leave your self a lot of sanding. It's easier to work with while it's stlli workable Cut a small piece of plywood to mix the two components. All in all, a great product.. Way better than bondo, and it doesn't set up so fast.

This product was demonstrated by a YouTube content producer. I liked the reusable containers and not having to squeeze the last of the product out of the tube. I have used it on two small projects and both had great results. I stuck a broken bakelite knob back together and filled grooves in a plastic grommet. Product does not include stirring sticks so have a supply of popsicle sticks handy. I use one for each part and then stir with one of the two. That avoids cross contamination. Home Depot home delivery was quick and efficient. Likely I received fresher stock by not buying it from a store shelf.

Too dry, not stick. Do not buy
I have tested the same product from various manufacturers, and unfortunately, this one stands out as the worst. The compound is excessively dry, making it challenging to achieve a proper mix. Moreover, once mixed, the compound does not adhere to the wall effectively. I do not recommend using this product for crack repair.

This is a very good product. I recently repaired a cherry wood antique chair. Some fits were done using dowels and some were flush fits. I mixed a small portion of each , about 3oz (much like a Rx bottle size) and proceeded to apply the mix. It allowed movement for final fitting and then began to cure within an hour. 24hrs later, an elephant could of stood on that chair - fantastic stuff, highly recommended !
