If the pipe I am trying to repair is only 1/2 inch from a wooden stud and parallel to it, will the clamp fit through the opening to go around the pipe?
A 1/2 in. clearance may be sufficient, and the clamp can be oriented so the excess bolt threads face away from the wall or stud. However, tightening may be more difficult with the two-bolt design, and if additional clearance is needed, the clamp may not fit. Actual fit can only be confirmed during installation.
Can I shorten the length of the clamp bolt if it’s much longer than it needs to be?
