I just installed this, I can not get this fan to turn off, there is no trouble shooting guide and Panasonic customer assistance wont answer the phone

I did have similar thoughts when I installed it. It does have two sensors 1. one on moisture level (if the installed room is more damp, it'll be running for a long time) 2. other on motion sensor with timer onto it... if there is a reason it keeps sensing motion then that could be something you can try to troubleshoot. There is no LED to say if it was triggered from motion or from humidity though.

No. You need the wiring from “above” and will also need to run the exhaust line to an acceptable gable vent or eave vent.

I do not believe you cannot turn off the motion sensor. Even though the emotion sensor has a "zero" time setting, the fan will still go on when motion is detected but, that zero time setting will only enable the fan to go on for less than one minute. I did not connect mine to a wall switch, so I set the motion to a very short cycle. I have read of some individuals indicating that you could tape over the sensor or leave in its shipping packing in place and just leave tucked up. I did not try that so i can't say, plus you should check for any safety/electrical issues if you follow that route. If you hook to a wall switch, problem solved. Also, if you have someone install and you wish to vent to the eve, make sure the installer points the exhaust to the eve. motion in the hall and air circulation will set off the sensor.

Can this unit be installed also with a wall switch or is it only designed to be operated via the motion sensor?
